"Don't worry about the flowers, we could use a little more color every now and then," she said, "You're our daughter, we can deal with a few plants fallowing you in."

"No matter, you're welcome here no matter what. When we adopted you, we agreed to accept you no matter what may be fallowing you, or what you condition might be," she said, fallowing behind and picking a few of the flowers, "That being said, you have nothing to worry about. If anything, we can use these flowers to decorate, and line the nest. Anything to help make it seem more of a safe place for the young hatchlings when they hatch."

"That may be true, but a large open room without any sort of decoration can be quite intimidating to a new born hatchling. You should know this better than anyone else," she said, taking the flowers to the nest and working them into the lining and into the edges, "Along with preparing for the festival, I have to make sure our home seems the least bi intimidating. You're welcome to help if you wish."

"I wasn't implying you were a hatchling, I was meaning you experiences as one. You're old enough to be concidered a young adult, but your memories of your hatchling days are still fresher in your mind than they are mine. I did not mean any offence," she said, walking over and placing a wing on Goldenscale's back, "In truth, I never got a normal childhood either. I was only two when my home was attacked, and I had to survive on my own for five years. I'm just lucky I knew plenty about alchemy at that time. I would never have made it if I hadn't."

Seeing Goldenscale run, Mayumi walked over to the bed and layed down. "When will I learn, never bring up the past. All it brings is pain," she said to herself, laying her head down to star out the entrance. "I wish there was something I could do. I'm sorry for everything, I was just trying to make an example," she said qietly, closing her eyes as she lightly shook despite the warm embers.

Frost sighs and walks to mayumi, "she's going through a phase. Don't beat yourself up over it. I don't recalect much myself. I remember being found by the council and sent to work right off." He nuzzles mayumi.

"It was my fault, I shouldn't have brought up the past. All that ever does is bring pain and anger," she said, keeping her head down on the embers. "Childhood was nothing but work for me. Wake up, take care of the garden, practice alchemy, eat, and repeat steps two and on. I want our hatchlings to have a much better childhood than me, but I don't know anymore," she said, looking up to Frost, "I don't know what would be better."

"No, you can stay," she said, catching up with GoldenscaleYou've had no one to be there for you for so many years. I plan on keeping my promise to always be there, even through this. I still have much to learn about being a mother, and you help by presenting situations like this. I have to learn to deal with them one way or another, and I'd rather learn them through yuo than by fkying blind with the hatchlings."

Frost comes out and smiles, " well I think we all need to go and have a good day at the festival. Since you to have made up, let's celebrate our family." He has his wings around them both smiling as if the world is frozen while they were happy.
