Flare layed down in her cave and rested, "What a day." she thought "I broke into a shop, and stuck out like a sore thumb, I almost got away with stealing marrow and I had to give away some of my life inhansing potion for a jar of herbs." Slowly she drifted off into a deep sleep.

"Well, that was an interesting development," Mayumi said stepping up beside Goldenscale.

"So it was..." she said, smiling wide.  "I haven't even been here a day and look at how fortune smiles..." 

"I've got to say, the council must be getting desperate for someone who can keep the peace with the public. Right now, they have no one who can keep alevel head at a public announcement," Mayumi said taking out a large bottle, "While you were talking to the elder I was able to reproduce the potion for repairing bones. When you're ready, we can work on your leg."

"I'm ready... I've also thinking about going to the meeting tonight. Since I'm so good at persuading others, maybe I can convince them to change whatever it is that needs to be changed... What are they doing wrong anyways?" she said as she limped over.

"Most of them are more obsessed with useing their power to get what they want rather than for the better good of the society. There are a few that use their position as they should, but they're not in good positions to influence anything," Mayumi said gesturing for Goldenscale to fallow her, "I'll go with you to the meeting. I have no idea how potent this potion is, and I stand as a wittnes if anyone questions the validity of what happened."

Goldenscale followed.  "If I were to join, I would probably be counted as a valuable member because of what I can do.  Hopefully... "

After a few hours Flare woke up and padded out into the forest, "Maybe I should go to the meeting tonight..." she thought, "No way! what am I thinking?" she said to herself. And with that she flew past the forest to a mountain where there was another cave that she kept her money and dangerouse potions stored.

"They don't throw offers to join them out if they don't think the recipient will be valuable. They tend to only send the offers to those who think in a similar way to them. If you do join,you'll be the first female to join their ranks," Mayumi said patting on a raised portion of stone, "Lay down here, I just need to grab the leg bracing material."

Goldenscale jumped up onto the rock slab.  "Well, aren't they in for a surprise... I must have accomplished something in order to be the first female in the Council..." she said.

"It will be to the public if you accept the council's offer. The public wont hear about it till tomarow morning during the morning anouncements," Mayumi said before exiting the room brieflly, re-entering with a few pieces of flat wood and leather strips, "Now the only question I have is, would you want to be numbed or put under anesthetics. Both will work the same to keep the pain minimal, but one puts you to sleep and the other just numbs the pain."

"I'm fine with either one." she said. "Do you think I have a chance at changing the Council if I accept?" she asked as she lay her head down.

"There's a chance for anyone to change anything. There's no tell if you will or not until you try, but you do what you feel is right. You may be the voice of reason the council has been missing ever since the last leader died. The council wasn't has bad back then due to him keeping their desires in check," Mayumi said filling a syringe with a thick substance, "OK, this will hurt for a few moments, but it will fade quickly. Once it's taken effect, all you'll feel is pressure." After tapping the syringe to get the air bubles out, she stuck it into Goldenscale's leg in several places, pushing the plunger down a little each time.

"Alright.  I'm going to go to the meeting today, after this." She lay there, not really doing anything.

"I will not stop you then. Now tell me, can you feel this," Mayumi asked startying to mash on Goldenscale's leg a bit.
