Both demons froze as their claws entered their bodies. Soon after, souls started seeping from around the claws, excaping from the binds the demons had  on them.  As each sould excaped, the demons grew thinner, the second demon  becoming nothing more than a simple husk while the first managed to hang on.

*Kick their a**es , Goldenscale.* the willow said with amusement.  Goldenscale increased her power slowly, grinning in amusement as their bodies grew thinner.  "You will be destroyed." she hissed.

"And so our cycle must end once more. Threethousand years this time, not bad," the first demon said as the last soul escaped. Becoming etheral once more, the demon picked up the husk of the second. "We can not be destroyed. We are part of the planet's core," it said as it started to fade, "This isn't the last time we will meet." Giving Goldenscale a demonic grin, the two demons faded completely, their auras sinking towards the planet's core. Looking like a living fog, every trapped soul had gathered into a single mass overhead.

Goldenscale giggled uncontrollably as she fell on her back.  She was finally able to recompose herself and lay there.  The spirit then showed it's outline again.  It smiled at Goldenscale and in turn, she hummed like she would with nature.  The spirit then disappeared.  She then smiled as she continued to lay there.  

Konoki stared at her in complete shock.  "How in the world..." he stammered, unable to comprehend how strong his diminutive dragon daughter was.  *Didn't I say she to have faith in her and thaw she needed no protection?* the willow said with amusement.

"I never doubted her, I just didn't want to stand idly by while she risked her life," Tieral said as he worked his way out of the roots, "She's worth protecting, even if she doesn't need it,"

slowly, the fog of spirits dispersed leaving only a select few that remained overhead.

"Someone go get Kokkorok." she said.  Konoki immediately flew to him.  "Kokkorok!  She's done it!  You must hurry!" he said, out of breath.

"She did what," Kokkorok eclaimed as he jolted up, "Where is she?"

As the final spirits left, thre settled to the ground forming into three dragons, the larger one using its wongs to shield and cover to two smaller one.

"Outside the barrier.  Your wife and kids are waiting for you there." he said.  "Come, we must hurry." Konoki said, running towards them.

For a moment, Kokkorok stood still before running after Konoki.

"We're finally safe little ones.We can finally rest," the larger spirit said, removing its wongs from the smaller two, "We may see your father agains some day."

"He's coming as we speak." she said to the spirits.  She just continued to lay on the ground exhausted.

"So you're the one who freed us," the larger spirit said, turning around to face Goldenscale. From behind, she had looked to be the size of a dragon, but had feathered wings and fur running down her back. When she turned around, she appeared to be a gryphon. "You are a blessing to this world little one," she said walking over to Goldenscale, and looking back to see Kokkorok enter the clearing only to be jumped on by the two children, "Thank you for everything."

"You are very welcome.  I'm just glad you are all alright and you can see Kokkorok again." she said, sitting up and looking at the spirit.

"Knowing him, we may still have a chance to return to the living," she said, laying beside Goldenscale to watch as Kokkorok wrapped his wings around the children, "I'm surprised you haven't questioned the validity of my form."

"I normally would, but everyone has their own body and soul which makes everyone different.  And what do you mean by returning to the living?  Do you mean to go back into your bodies if he still has them?" she asked.

"What I mean by returning to the living, is that we may be able to livw once more. Since we were taken before our time, we contain more energy that other spirits. Given the right rituals, we can regenerate out bodies as they were before we were ripped from them," she said, "Most people would question why a dragon would love a gryphon. I can sense in you that you have deep connections to both species. If I remember, Konoki introduced us."'
