"We really should. The snow has stopped for now," Tieral said, lowering his wing to look outside, "Frost is waiting at your home as well. We'd best get back before the weather picks back up."

Frost knocks again. "Hello?"

Goldenscale got out of the base of the tree to be greeted by the needles of cold pricking her body.  She then began to run for all she worth back home where she could be somewhat warm.

"Grandpa," Alekai said when he opened the door to see Frost, "Mom and Dad when out looking for you earlier. They're heading back this way right now though."

Running behind Goldenscale, Tieral let out a small jet of fire just above her back. "This should make it bearable till we get back."

Goldenscale went back and grabbed Tieral before flying as fast as she could back home.  She deposited him gently on the ground and went under her tree, shivering like mad.  "Curse winter..." she said quietly.

"Hello alekia. So how do you like your toy?" He asked with a smile

"I love it," he said before turning around to see Teiral wrapping his wings around Goldenscale, "They're back now if you want to come in."

She was grumbling, annoyed with the ever persistent cold. She then noticed Frost.  "Hello, Dad." she said.

"Hello. I brought you something." He places the quilt around her and her husband. "I hope this keeps you warm.

"What is this?  It does feel like it's holding in more heat..." she said, observing the object around her and Tieral.

"It's something humans call quilts. They use them on cold nights to keep themselves warm while they sleep," Tieral said, releasing Goldenscale from his wings, "So far, humans are the only ones who make them. We haven't figured out how they do it yet."

"Huh.  I could probably figure out how to do that...' she said, observing the quilt more.  "Thank you, dad." she said with a smile.

"Haha I have though, but it would involve a lot of work to make even one this big." Frost says looking at the two.

"Maybe they had more than one human working on this..." she said in wonder.

"Now, that you're here, i have something to ask," Tieral said, stepping out from under the quilt, "While we were at the mother willow, I sensed something different about Mayumi. Is she alright?"
