"Yeah, he informed the willow of it and the willow told me." she said.  It was like they were playing a guessing game.

"And I wonder why he would tell the willow that rule," he said sarcastically before looking back to Goldenscale, "In all technicallity, we're not supposed to talk about the rules, but we also must fallow any command you give to us. If you ask us to tell you all the rules, we are bound by duty to tell you every one of them."

"I didn't even know that enforcers had rules until the willow informed me of that one rule.  So you can technically guess then why he told the willow." she said with a smile.

"While I don't know for sure, it probably has something to do with how he's been acting since you chose us. Personally, I could care less what his motivation was. So long as he doesn't harm you, I have no reason to delve into his life," he said, "I have enough stress as is with five eggs to take care of, and we can't be fully sure that there wont be any more coming till the end of Aimée's laying cycle at the end of the week."

"I thought there were six?  I could be wrong, but..." she said quietly.

"We were expecting six, but as of right now there's only five. We were told there would be anywhere from five to ten eggs by the end of the cycle," he said rubbing the back of his head, "We're hoping to have at least six, but we'll happy if five is all we get."

"I'm happy for you up and down and all around no matter what.  But 10 eggs is a lot of eggs..." she said.

"It's a rare occasion for one to have ten eggs or more, but it has happened in the past," he said starting to look tired, " Aimée would probably tell you five is a lot of eggs, and I wouldn't blame her for saying so.I almost can't wait for the end of the week though. I wont have to worry about wether or not there'll be more eggs coming. i want to be there for each egg, but with there being no way of knowing when each egg will come, I can only hope i get back home before she starts laying again."

"You can stay with her if you want.  Hopefully, nothing else will happen that requires attention.  And if there is, I'll deal with it.  I'm not the image of a fragile flower..." she said with a sly smile.

"Thank you, i promise I'll find some way to make it up to you next week," he said smiling, "I don't doubt that you can protect youself. Even a flower can hide a deadly force. Wolf's bane may be beautiful to see, but it contains poison beyond anything else. With your permision, may I leave?"

"You don't have to make anything up to me.  You're needed with Aimee, and that's more important than me.  You have my permission to go, Metraz." she said with a smile.

"Thank you gain. You'll be welcome to visit any time you want," he said before taking off.

"What's an egg," Alekai asked once Metraz was out of sight."

Goldenscale conjured a picture of an egg.  "This is an egg.  Most creatures hatch from one." she said.

"Wow,"he said quietly, "Even something as large as you and Tieral could come from an egg?"

"Yes.  But when we first hatched, Tieral was about your size when he first hatched.  I was smaller than him when I hatched.  I'm a...different... dragon than everyone else." she said.
