"Sorry, I'm still a little groggy," he said letting out a yawn, "I'm guessing that since you made the crystal, he's kind of like a child to you. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's the only way I can make sense of him and his aura."

"He would have been a child to me even if Mossed made the crystal, but your right either way." she said.

"That's all I need to know then," he said running the back of a claw down Alekai's back, "If he's a child to you, then i see nothing wrong in saying the same."

She nuzzled the varanius affectionately.  "You don't have to hide anymore.  Tieral won't hurt you." she said softly.

"I wouldn't dream of hurting you little one," Tieral said as Alekai shifted around to look at him, "Nothing will change that."

Smiling, Alekai uncurled and started purring again when he heard Tieral's vow.

"And if he tried, I'd keep anything from touching you." she said with a smiled, glancing at Tieral.

"I'm sure you would," he said with a smile, "I'm not sure how we'll explain him to Frost, but I'm sure we can think of something."

"Who's Frost," Alekai asked looking a little confused.

"He's my dad." she said.

"Why would you have to explain me to him," he asked.

"He doesn't know about you yet, little one." she said with a smile.  'He'll probably think I hatched an egg or something.' she thought to herself.

"We'd best think of a way quick. no telling when he'll return," Tieral said, shuddering at the possible assumptions that Frost could have, "I'd rather not be held in the wrong on this."

"Why, what would happen if he saw me before you had a chance to tell him," Alekai asked as he watched Tieral's expression change to that of worry.

"He would think that I'm laid an egg and you came from that egg..." she said quietly.  'Though I don't think that would be possible...' she thought.

"Why would that be a bad thing," he asked, still not understanding the situation.

Goldenscale sighed.  "Because I just found out the Tieral loved me, and..." she trailed off, not knowing how to put the rest if her sentence into words.
