Your pet's base Agility got too high from leveling, so now it outweighs the bonus from GP. This makes the bad Agility gene show through and turns the stat red. 

yes I know, I saw Sandia's thread before ..

but until now I don't know how can I know the base of any of the pet's Characteristics ?

The GP bonus is usually higher than any gene penalty at lower levels, so you have to check either the genes or the stat tooltips to find out about those.

But the tooltip doesn't show up if the bonus and penalty happen to be equal (stat is black), which seems like a minor bug. And checking the tooltips is rather time-consuming anyway. 

It'd be nice if we could see those penalties at a glance. Maybe a different color for mixed bonus and penalty (yellow?). Might be worth a suggestion thread.

I agree with Zalys, this might be a nice new suggestion, although to me it's no big deal. I usually research all the genes that could be something other than Normal on any pet of mine, so I know if there is something bad in the mix to begin with. 

One thing though with that special case when the tooltip doesn't show up, if you have a GP pet and a black stat on it, you KNOW that there must be a penalty, so that's as good as checking the tooltip. It's really only at the beginning, when the GP bonus still outweighs the gene penalty that you wouldn't know. 

*headdesk* I am never doing that on a nice coloured pet again, why did I take the potion? Now Grady is dull (his colour went from cream to normal), not to mention traumitized.

sosochan, no more stats are going to turn. You have his genes researched. The only bad gene in there is Dystrophy, which reduces both Strength and Agility by 25%. Agility just hit the point where the Dystrophy gene outweighs the GP bonus a bit earlier than Strength. 

But what's so bad if you see the red stats now? Sure it would look nicer if he kept having all green, but so what? He has quite good genes except for Dystrophy. Just breed it out with the next generation. In my opinion, it's better to have a dominant gene that only affects my pet's stats by 25% than a recessive (where all stats would still be green at level 50) that reduces stats by 50%. Besides he always HAD the 25% reduction, you just only now get to see it.. The pet is still the same as before.

Rant time, that annoying moment when someone keeps attacking you for no reason and blocking you for no reason on battlefield, and all you want to do is walk to the other side to hang out with tucuxia and Lika And several others...

I just went onto an island with a lvl 1 pet, about a space or directly in front of the gateway was a red monster...no way past had to defeat to keep going, a few steps after defeating that red monster, another red monster, again no way past, and it defeated me -.-

I went exploring with one of my pets and found a treasure chest....... and then I see this message:

You can't take Blueprints: Warehouse (lvl 2). You don't have enough space in your inventory!

The irony is killing me!...

I need that Warehouse!

@Gem You may have done this already, but you don't have to leave the island to access your inventory. Next time you see that message, just navigate to your inventory and destroy any item you don't need. As long as you don't leave the island via the portal, the chest will still be there when you navigate back. :D

Rant: How am I supposed to have stable room for unicorn AND cockatrice breeding projects...!

So I visited the shaman while exploring and it turns out I'm actually losing money on tomorrow's quests because I'll only get 5 100 silver quests.

I was only able to do one quest today. Also sucks that I missed an event due to life getting in the way. I just got back from my unintended hiatus to find out there'd been an event. Too bad for me I guess.

Thanks to Aelisk I have the materials to start building and now all I have to do is stop spending my money on stupid crap so I can have enought silver.

Another thing that (language edited out by Nightingale) me off is that I can't do any more than two quests becouse I don't have any pets that meet the requirements!

Please refrain from using "harsh" language. Beastkeeper does not have a minimum age requirement so we must assume younger ears/eyes are reading our posts. I realize this is a grey area as different people, groups, families, and cultures consider different words to be harsh or acceptable language.
