Yeesh, this event will leave me broke. Between my resource purchasing during the event and the gem hoarding post-event, I've gone through half my reserve silver D: And the auction battles over festive outfits are just beginning!

Addition: Grr, pets without GP are really hard to get experience on! I just want wild level 50's...but autobattles return with zero wins. I have a hard time finding suitable opponents even in manual mode. Maybe I'm just not online at the right time. Guess I'll have to level up my riding halls and spend some silver. *grumble*

Addition2: Grumpy mosaic also notes that the item exchange is full of appalling trades. No, I will not give you a rainbow jar for 2 cuttlefish ink.

Um.. the dragons look just like this one. Did they use this as a ref?

So I'm selling mine at auction. Hopefully I'll have enough silver soon to build a military academy or something :3

All seven of my quests today are copper. Six of them offer 100 silver as the reward, one offers 500. It's not like I need the silver, I have plenty for my needs, but seriously? ALL SEVEN of them?

Accidentally used a mutagen on a wrong pet again. One that I had been training for months. Then I spent about twenty more and all gold that I had left trying to fix it. Only ended up with bunch of bad genes.

Months of work wasted. And since training's been such an utter chore after the gladiator gene got changed, it'll take even longer to replace the pet. Doesn't feel worth the trouble.

Aw man, I'm sorry to hear that Zaltys that really sucks epscially if you worked on the pet for months. That's a real mood killer I wish there was something I could do to help. :(

Although I'm still leveling my pets at a decent rate after the gladiator changed.

All those babies that are missing just one or two of the genes I want, looks like I might have something good to sell or trade once they grow up. x.x

Yeah, I think it's time for a hiatus. I might be back in a few months, but for now...

I just can't summon any energy to play anymore. Partly because of that mutagen fiasco: just had to accidentally use it on my best Throdama, of all things. It had nearly perfect genes at level 50, and now? Clumsy paws, silly, deaf, weak muscles, faint-hearted.. 

I could attempt to breed and level a replacement, but levelling is the other reason why I feel burnt out. Might be because of my timezone, but it takes so much longer now to try to find opponents in the arena: have stalk it all the time if I want to level anything. Just feels like a major time sink, I haven't had much if any time for other features recently...such as exploring, breeding, or even just sorting out the pets that I've already bred.

Wow Zaltys, that sucks so much. I've been unlucky with mutagens but not to that degree.

OT: Just back to grumble about the ridiculousness of item exchanges. I honestly don't think there's a good way to encourage practical offers, but at this point the majority of trades are downright scammy. I mean, what are they waiting for, some unlucky misclick? Not going to provide specific examples, because usernames are tied to trades. But it makes finding fair deals a real pain.

Sorry to hear that Zaltys! That's some REALLY bad luck there :(

mosaic: I agree. Also new players who see trades like that might think that those ARE fair offers and either be "scammed" into accepting and/or subsequently think that's what those items are actually worth >_<

You fight one red beastie with dripping teeth, using up two or three energy. Then you fight a vicious but somewhat pretty plant, which ends up in a draw a few times, steals an energy point, then dies. Then, you fight a weird wyvern-thingie with an ethereal shard in its chest, also spitting poison and snarling horribly. Your poor tired unicorn, with 0 energy, drags itself over the little treasure box, and what do you get...?

I think the wild dragons have learned the way of the ninja or something. I haven't seen a single one while I've been sending out all of my catchers. I want one so I can get some new GOOD blood into the system. D:

Stormflight: You and me both, I need dragons for my project but is kinda hard when I have to catch 10 griffins and rocs just to see one dragons. They've been avoiding me since day 1.
