I had two guards, one in front of and one ON TOP OF the portal. Fortunately it was a lower level.

I have reached level 22 Tundra. (And promptly had to go to another pet to let that one regain some energy. Still.) 

In other news, I have portal cells again! And a sweet little message that my pet saved me 24 Charged Sticks. I love worker throdama. (And artisan dragons, but I've only got one of those and its stats aren't high enough to be very useful in this regard.) Pity that the effect only kicks in when I craft a bunch at once; waiting is a pain. 

You see a portal to level 23 sheliak? Meso managed to reach 22 but there was no dang portal, it was so annoying...let us know how high you get! Imagine if theres a golden lykos egg at a crazy level like 40, and it hatches a lykos with genes and colors weve never seen before. And we dont know about it because no one has been there yet to see it...or a rainbow ice etellia to catch. 

I cannot see a portal, but neither have I ruled out its existance! There is at least one guardian that might be guarding the portal (the other two are definitely just guarding chests). There's also a little section of island blocked off by a normal monster, so I guess there might be something there. Or not. My explorer is out of energy again, so I won't know until tomorrow. 

There's at least one etelia, though, so at least it's not for nothing! (A totally normal blue etelia that has killed my explorer several times. If the admins are saving special weird stuff in the deepest depths of winter, those depths are deeper than level 22.)

If only there were a trophy for highest level reached. These days I tap out at about 19, because starting over means I'm more likely to get etelia I can beat between levels 8 -- 14.

If it takes days and days to beat one etelia, that's a high level, well bred pet going to waste. Ugh.

After I hatch this last snowflake I'll only be able to try breeding my first etelia baby on the 30th.

You need to get a blueprint for an activated egg, grade 1.

Use the blueprint, go to Craft and Construction, and you'll be able to craft activated eggs.

You will need to have the hibernating egg and the liquid deviance in your inventory.

My level 50 pets only get as high as level 14, and most of the time there isn't another portal...

An elemental attack is best. Fire breath, acid spit, lightning strike, etc.

Unicorns aren't really ideal. They only get you so far and then can't do enough damage fast enough.

I just realised today that I am probably not going to have enough deviants, and will have to probably buy even more.

Buuuuut it's kinda worth it to have a whole horde of white etelia at the end of it XD Well so far I have three, and I'm holding thumbs :))
