Rory turned her head and faced her best friend. he started to walk down the steps he'd started to climb as he'd made his way to his dorm.

walking to her dorm, Lavender stared to think about her father, with swooper at her heels, remembered the day she got him. he was just a kitten, and that night, with his little puff-ball self, he curled up with her, she went to sleep and dreamed he was flying, when she got up, she had disided to call him Swooper. why she had goted him? Her father had found him wondering the streets late at night, he almost misted his, as he was a black cat. she smiled and lookeed at Swooper before she went to bed she wrotea letterto her mom saying that she would be coming.

Chase sat in the common room, Coal was infront of the fireplace, fascinated by the flames. Chase took out his Defense Against The Dark Arts book and started reading for his homework. It was a week away from hollidays and he had a ton of homework to finnish.

Rory sat on the end of her bed, her wand illuminated to give her light as she wrote out her Transfiguration assignment. Almost every one in the dorm was asleep, and th gentle snoring filled the room. 

For once in her life, Rory wasn't intrested in homework.

Chase sighed and closed the book. Coal looked up at him, then looked back at the flames. Chase stood up and headed to the portrait hole. He pushed it open and stepped out into the darkness, the only light comming from the commonroom. He closed the portrait and the hallway plunged into darkness. He had memorized the way to where he was going, there was no need to give it away by lighting up his wand. He walked off down the hall.

at aroud 11:00, Lavender finished her homework.

Rory shut every book that was scattered over her bed and yawned. She collapsed on her pillow and instantly fell asleep, her slippers still on.

Chase crept down the hall and down two flights of stairs, hoping no one would hear or see him.......

Rory's dreams were black. She couldnt see a thing, but loud bangs and thumps came from the walls around her, which seemed to be closing in. 

"No, help! Stop!"

She punched the walls and tried to push them back, but they just kept coming. The air was almost gone, and Rory couldn't breathe. Her head throbbed, and every muscle in her body screamed to be let out. She screamed again, then when she tried to take another breath, nothing would fill her lungs. And although everything was already black, he felt her dream end.

Chase snuck back into the commonroom. Ignoring  the Fat Lady mumbling about 'Annoying teenagers' he sat down on one of the armchairs and slowly drifted off to sleep...

Rory woke up in a cold sweat, and that's nor just an expression, she was freezing. She was also drenched. Rory wiped her forehead with her sleeve, and as she swung her legs out of her bed, she heared gentle snoring coming from downstairs. Rory grabbed her wand from her bedside table and gripped it with both of her sweaty hands. The nightmare had left her on edge. She walked out of the girls dorm and slowly inched down the stairs.

"hello?"

Of coarse no one answered. Rory peeked around the corner and saw... Chase.

Chase shivered slightly, like the feeling you get when someone is watching you, but he soon forgot it as his dream of a memory swept him under....

Chase ran up to his house as he heard someone scream, he thew open the door to see a man in black pointing his wand at a woman, who was writhing in pain."What are you doing??" Chase yelled at the man. The man looked up in surprise."It doesn't matter..." He looked back down at the woman and muttered words that made Chase shudder just thinking about it."Avarda Kedavra.." Then the man looked up as Chase fell to his knees, and uttered another word before disapearing."Crucio.."

Chase started thrashing in his sleep as dream-pain held him hostage...

Chase snored loudly in his sleep and Rory grinned. She hadn't seen him this relaxed since he crashed right after finishing five assignments in one night. He shivered and mumbled something in his sleep as Rory sat down by the fire, warming herself up.
