Juniper looked at them. "Two girls. One boy."

One of the pups was black, one was reddish brown just like Juniper, and the boy light brown, just like Maple.

Chester scooched closer to her and licked her snout. "It's ok" he said quietly. The distraction caused his shield to drop, and Chester looked up.

He tried to cast another one, but his mind was too weak from the previous one. He stood with his hackles raised.
