Night growled.

"We have to get them out of our territory."

Juniper bit her lip nervously. 

"Um, nothing."

Maple turned and galloped to the stream. He saw Chester watching Newt swim with a smile on his face. 

He snarled. "I'm sure your father will be thrilled to hear that you're mates with the omega" he growled to Newt. 

Chester whipped around, horrified. 

Maple snarled at Newt, then Chester. "Naive young wolves" he snarled. He turned to Newt and took a step forward. 

"Come out" he growled. "Time to show your dad where you've been."

Chester snarled and cast a strong shield in front of Newt. "Don't you dare lay a paw on her" he growled.

“But without attacking,” Alder insisted. “We could...scare them off, or make them run away.”

Sky growled, frustrated. “Well? What's the secret then? What is it that no one will tell me?” she demanded.

Newt gasped. “Run,” she shouted at Chester, and sunk further under water.

Night perked her ears when she heard Newt's voice. "Oh shoot."

She jumped up and raced to the nearby stream. She saw Newt going underwater and Chester taking steps back nervously from an advancing Maple.

"Swim sis!" she snarled as she blinded Maple. She lunged at him, pinning him down. 

Maple fought back blindly, scratching a large open wound on her face. Blood splattered into Maple's face from Night. Night yelped in pain.

Chester turned and started to run. He slipped on the side of the stream, and the dirt under him crumbled. He stumbled, hen fell into the deep, cold water.

He felt his body being dragged down by the current, and he struggled to swim. He realized the current was too strong and stopped flailing his paws.

Juniper looked up to her. "I don't have the right to tell" she said quietly.

Newt started to swim away, until she felt something large and furry slam into her. Newt spun around and her eyes widened, seeing Chester. She whimpered, and clamped her jaws on the scruff of his neck, dragging him up to the surface.

Newt rolled him onto shore, and glanced around to see where they ended up. Maple and Night were both a distance away, both covered in blood.

Newt felt like crying out, but she swallowed and hauled herself out of the river, looking over Maple's back at Night, and shook her head, signalling Night to pretend not to have seen her and Chester, and to try to stop fighting. Then Newt picked Chester back up, and headed to camp.

She walked through the entrance, panting. She walked up to Sky. “He fell in the river,” she panted, rolling him off her back.

Sky turned. “Set him in the sun. Are you in this secret too?”

Newt froze. “What secret?”

“Birch somehow-” Sky stopped. “Well you just happened to be with Chester when he was drowning, while Dagger thought he was lost. And where did my patrols go?”

“Maple and Night are attacking each other! I wanted to stop them, b-”

Sky pushed past her and ran to the entrance.

“They're by the stream!” Newt called after her.

Night jumped off, attempting to stop the fight.

But Maple lunged forward and sliced his claws down her sides. Night yowled in pain and rage. She felt the blood drip down her face and her side, turning her soft fur into a sticky matted mess.

She blinded him and gave him a weak scratch on his muzzle. She yelped in pain once more, then collapsed.

Chester heard voices, whispers at first, then louder. He slowly opened his eyes and coughed out water from his lungs.

"what.... What happened?" he asked, his throat raw from the water.

Blossom gasped as she saw the entire thing play back in Chester's head.

Just then, Juniper yowled in pain. She collapsed onto her side and screeched again. 

Blossom turned to her and gasped. "Oh lord, it must be her pups!" 

Juniper closed her eyes as a spasm rocked her body. She panted and comtinued to Yelp in pain.

Sky gently cast an illusion in front of the real Night, a fake to preoccupy him until she was finished.

Sky gently carried Night all the way back to camp. She pushed through the entrance and lay her by Chester.

A yelp reached Sky's ears, and she whirled around to see Juniper yelping in pain.

“Not now,”she muttered, and padded over to Juniper. “Alright, I can't help you too much without hurting you more. So I'll help when I can, but I'm mostly here for verbal support, okay?”

Maple followed, a sly smile on his face. Once he was back to camp, he padded to Dagger.

"I saw some interesting things today.. And one was that Chester  and Newt were together. And this would explain why they both go missing so often. They must be mates. Plus, Newt has been showing signs of pregnancy."

Chester watched, sadness filling him. He turned to Newt. "No matter what, I'll still love you" he said in a hoarse voice.

Juniper scratched at the ground in agony. Blood began to wet the ground near her bottom. She growled and started to push.

Night opened her eyes slowly, pain still sharp all over her body. She watched Maple as he talked to Dagger and she turned to face Newt.

"I'm sorry sis" she said weakly. "I couldn't stop him. You shouldn't have mated with him in the first place, but I will always protect you."

A mischeivious smile appeared on Dagger's face. “Thank you, Alder.”

Dagger leapt off the rock he was sitting on and padded over to Chester, Newt, and Night.

“So, I suppose you decided it'd be fun sneaking out of camp and... dirtying the blood of the next generation, hmm? I hope you're enjoying yourselves,” he growled, glaring down at Chester and Newt.

Chester flinched. "Don't hurt her. It's my fault. All my fault. Punish me, not her!"

Juniper felt her first pup slip out onto the wet grass. She sighed and turned around to lick it dry. "Its a girl" she said. She then became aware of the Argument. She turned and watched worriedly.

Sky growled. “Stop. We need to focus on your pups right now. Worrying won't help them, will it?”

Honey pulled the pup closer to her with a paw, and began licking it.

Dagger turned to Chester. “I suppose I could do that, couldn't I? But I don't see how it's only your fault. It takes two to truly be in love.”

Ooc: So I was looking back at the chart and wondered who Juniper's mate was. The only way it wouldn't be weird was if it was Smoke...

Juniper layed back and felt her body shudder as she began to push out the second pup.

Chester growled. "I fell in love with her first. I came up with sneaking out. I was the culprit. She didn't do anything." He looked at Newt, and stood up slowly.

Dagger snarled. “And it was my daughter who agreed with you! I didn't have pups so they could start fraternizing with omegas!” he spat, getting right into Chester's face.

Chester snarled and cast a strong shield around Newt and himself, forcing Dagger back.

Dagger roared and slammed against the shield, but nothing happened.

“Coward,” he growled.
