This isn't a neccesity, but it would certainly clean out the forums if threads from banned users are automatically deleted.

It would clear things out, and save people from asking for pet sales and such from someone who was banned.

I just think this is a good idea, since I know that a few people were banned recently.

But what if a banned person made a useful guide? Gave good suggestions, made useful comments, said something important somewhere? Youre okay with everything they said vanishing? Perhaps only things in the sales pages where they advertised. But it is still the reader's responsibility to take a few seconds to check if that post or account is active before making a responce, it really isnt difficult.

Also I don't think forum posts/threads automatically delete themselves. I'm pretty sure nightingale and the other mods (there must be others lurking about, watching, waiting, scheming) have to go to them and delete them manually. So leaving them is less of a hassle.

I suppose, but yeah, I meant only sales and stuff like sales and giveaways. And wanted items and such. I've seen a couple people who've been banned still have multiple wanted item threads up.

We do delete them manually. 

Every month or so I go in and move all the "dead' threads" to archives (ones asking to be closed, irrelevant threads, or ones that people "gravedug"). 

However, it is open to interpretation. I'm not moving every old thread to archive! Not I have to go into each thread to update it. I normally go until there are no "archive, delte or closed" threads on first page. I move those to arvhive. The others I lock. 

We VERY rarely ever delete threads. Is is imporant to keep a trail intact incase anything ever comes of it. 

If you ever see a thread that needs to be removed please either PM me, report it (best method so that every Site Admin will see it) or post the link in one of my stickied threads titled "one active sales thread per user".
