"I won't let them do that either.  If they say you have to, I will either bring you in anyways or stay out there with you." she said as she let go of Ahnah.  "Okay, thank you for bringing us this far." Goldenscale said with a smile.  She then took her bag and began to search for the blankets, soon getting out one for Ahnah and one for herself.  

Wrapping up in the blanket she was given, Ahnah climbed out of the cart. "They are stuborn, just about as so as you are," she said, readjusting her backpack and blanket, "It's a long trip form here to there, so once we get out of town, we'll switch to a faster mode of transportation."

Goldenscale hopped off the cart as well and wrapped her blanket around her and the backpack.  "The faster we get there the faster we'll be out of the cold." she said.  "Thank you for the ride, sir." she said to the man with a smile. 

Waving to the two, the man hopped off the cart as well and walked around the back to start unloading the cargo.

"In this case, the faster we get there, the sooner we can leave and get out of the cold. We'll have an easier time if mother is still there though. She might be meek, but her word carries weight in the village," Ahnah said, running a hand along the building wall they were walking by, "Can I ask something of you? If anyone askes about us while we're there, tell them we're just friends. It'll cause us less grief while we're there."

Goldenscale waved back at the man before looking back to Ahnah.  "If that is what you wish, then I will do it." she said with a smile. 

"Thank you.If they remember me, they'll hate me regardless. If they don't know our realtionship, then they will have no reason to hate you. The less trouble you have, the sooner we can leave," she said as the edge of town came into view, "Last I saw any of them, they had forced the gate closed after I left. Knowing them, as soon as any of them sees me, we'll have to explain why I returned."

She sighed.  "I could care less if they hated me because of our relationship.  Just as long as you don't say you hate, I don't care if they give me trouble." she said with a smile.  "If you're happy, I'm happy and everything is well.  We will still go through with our journey, even if we have to improvise a bit." she said.  "Then we will tell them why we are there.  If they want to see the end of the world, well too bad for them." 

"They don't want to see the end of the world end. They just want to stay with the ways of old. You'd only have to make them believe your jouney to be needed," she said, "They will refuse to let me in, but you should be able to get what we need."

"I will try to get you in as well.  I don't want you to be alone and if there is a chance there might be warmth, then I don't want to squander the opportunity." she said with a frown.  She then sighed.  "But if they won't let you in at al, I will hurry as fast as I can to finish what we came for." she said.

"If they have forgotten me, then I wont be alone. They don't trust outsiders much, but given you state as a nature spirit, they wil likely disregard that mistrust," she nodded, "I just hope they have forgotten about me. I may not like my parents, but I would like to at least see them once more, before life takes them away for good. Being the oldest pair of the village, they would be the first to go from age."

"Well then, I can only say that you do get to see them again.  The best thing to do is to hope that they are alive and have forgotten you and keep hoping until we know the truth." she said with a smile.

"True, hope is all I can do. It's just hard. If they forgot about me, it would hurt. If they remember me, they would hurt me. While I hope they have forgotten about me to be safe, as their daughter, I also hope they do remember me. Imagine wanting Moonlight to not remember you to stay safe, but also wanting her to remember you because she created you," she said, looking down as they passed through the town gate, "It's hard to understand without feeling it.I have no proper way to explain it."

Goldenscale frowned and sighed.  "If anything, I would rather they remember you because then at least you know you weren't forgotten.  I cannot imagine what it would be like to be forgotten, though if it is because of age that they don't remember there is nothing we can do but maybe try and spark it again.  I probably don't understand it enough to really have an idea of what to say or react, but I am trying..." she said.  She was confusing herself more than she should have been, but she didn't know how to react to this.  She reasoned that she was trying, though she should probably stop before she ended up hurting someone.

"It's like hating all aspects of something except for one small part. It only takes that small part for you to come back, even though you know the rest will make you turn back. It's probably best that you don't understand. Stuff like this tears at the minds of those affected," Ahnah said, keeping her head down, "If they have forgotten about me, I can only make due with what is left of them. It would be better if they remained that way, but that doesn't mean I can pay my respects to them."

Goldenscale decided that she would remain silent.  She probably wouldn't understand the concept, so she decided that she would shut up before she said something bad.  She did put her arm around Ahnah as she walked though.
