"Yes, it is their settlement, and it is the stable of the one keeper they despised but could not rid themselves of.  Ahnah finally disposed of him, and I freed all of his enslaved companions." she said with a sad sigh.  "Those poor souls..."  She then began to fly, though she stopped a while later to make sure Dara was following.  "It is this way." she said.

Keeping up with Goldenscale, Dara looked around as they exited the field around the forest, "So, what is the hatchling like? Who is she with right now? Should this ritual being her mother back, we'll need to explain these things to her to avoid panic and self harm."

"The hatchling is young and she is currently with a to-be keeper.  Their bond is already strong and they go everywhere together.  To be honest, she still looks for her mother, and I know this because she looked at Ahnah and wanted her as a child would a mother.  Ahnah said the same thing.  She would be thrilled to see her mother again." she said.

"I see, then this to-be keeper is trusted among them. What is this keeper like? Even if her mother accepts her daughter being in the care of the very type of person that killed her, even if this keeper holds her daughter's life to a higher standared than the previos one held hers," Dara said, spotting the stable in the distance, "We need to have something to convince her this new keeper is different."

Goldenscale laughed nervously.  "Well, he technically isn't a purebred human, if that is the correct terminology.  I cannot seem to remember what he is, since it is something foreign.  His father is a being that protects some sacred forest and all beings within the species has the urge to protect it once they get old enough." she explained.  "He loves creatures and he wants to become a keeper so that he can share a companionship with them.  The only reason he looks human is because he has a ring that conceals his true form." she said.  As soon as they reached their destination she landed.  "Well, here it is.  Or so I'm told..."

"I see, then he must have been that strang being I caught a glimpse of when the keepers visited the forest. It looked vaguely human in my mind's eye," Dara said, closing her eyes to think for a moment before taking the soul gem out again and examining the area.

Stopping her search, Drara looked to the door of the stables as it creaked open to show Nathan and Taeru.
"Well, that'll make finding her mother easier. We just need to look for the essence that best matchers her," Dara said, blinking a few times before resuming the search.

"Well, then it must have been him.  As far as I know there wasn't anyone strange there, well besides the Thordama which are amazing." she said with a purr.  She then smiled at Nathan and Taeru, before looking puzzled.  "I am.glad to see you, but what are you doing here?  Wasn't Ahnah teaching you?" she asked.

"Yes, but passed out from exhaustion a little while ago. She's fine, just in need of sleep," Nathan said, holding onto Taeru as she slept, "I came out here to think and get away from the prying eyes of those still walking the streets this late at night."

"Good thing you did come, I wouldn't have guessed this mount hidden here in the corner held what we're looking for. The previos keeper abvoiusly never wanted anyone find the body," Dara said, digging out a small hole that she planted the gem into, "Right, now I just need your help Goldenscale. You remember what you had to do when you and Kokkorok brought our children and me back?  I need you to do the same thing."

"We will need sleep for our journey.  Quiet places are always nice to be near." she said.  At hearing Dara's request she nodded.  She then went next to her and stood up on her back legs.  She then closed her eyes and began to creat the electricity needed.  It took her a couple minutes to build it up but she did it.  "I'm ready when you are." she said.

Starting a short chant, Dara prepared her bolt of electricity. After a few moments, the faded form of a female gragon, similar to Taeru, appeared floating over the mound. "Now, Dara called out as she fired at the gem.

Standing back, Nathan covered Taeru's ears in an attempt at muffling the noise. As he crouched over the hatchling, he pulled a burlap tarp over himself to better block the sound as well.

Goldenscale watched as the spirit appeared, shooting her bolt of lightning when Dara gave the word.  She had noticd that Nathan and Taeru were covering themselves with something, but she stayed focused on her objective.

When both bolts came in contact with the gem, it sank into the mound, dragging the spirit with it. There was slight tremor in the ground as the female was revived and regenereated. Once the energy faded from the air, the mound gave a shake before the mother broke the surface and pulled herself out of the shallow grave.

"Where is she? Where is my little girl," she asked, shakily walking forward before collapsing to her side, taking deep tired breaths, "Is she still alive?"

Still covering himsel and the hatchling, Nathan slowly looked up when he heard the voice.

Goldenscale watched with amazement at what was going on.  Thankfully she didn't have to watch the regeneraetion process this time.  She did sit down on her haunches and wait for Taeru's mother to break the surface.  She wasn't sure whether she could break through the ground, but she exhaled in relief when she did.  She then smiled when she spoke.  "She's alive and well.  Nathan, could you bring over Taeru please?" she asked, looking at him.

Nodding, Nathan  picked up Taeru and carrier her over to her mother before setting the hatchling down.

"So, a protector of the Great Jungle has protected my daughter. I didn't think my family warented such an honor," the mother said with a smile, as she readjusted herself to be sitting, "I give my thanks."

"I am not a protector of the Jungle. I only share part of my genetics with such a creature," Nathan said, backing away from Taeru and her mother.

"If this is all I was needed for, I will be heading back soon. Kokkorok will be getting home soon, I don't want him worrying. He lost me once, I know he doesn't want to come home finding me missing when I said I would stay for the night," Dara said, rathering up dirt and packing the hole where the pile used to be.

Goldenscale watched everything with weary eyes, but a wide smile. She then turned to Dara when she spoke. "Yes, this is all you were needed for, Dara. Thank you very much." she said with a nod. She then got up and stretched, giving a silent yawn as she did so. "I think I shall leave as well. I must rest for my journey. If I don't sleep soon, I'm not sure I will be able to wake early enough." she said with a smile.
