"We need to take the little ones back to Mayumi and Ahnah needs to rest before we go on our journey tomorrow." she said as she walked.

"Ya, I figured that, but where are you going," she asked, crawling up to Goldenscale's head, "How long will you be gone?"

"I don't know where I'm going, but I know that I'll be gone for a year.  I will make sure to try to contact you somehow." she said softly.

"Oh...... Why are you going," she asked, looking up to see Mayumi cradling Frost, "Is it something you have no control over?"

Goldenscale bit her lip.  "It's hard to explain..." she said quietly.

Oh, OK," she sighed, sliding back onto Goldenscale's back and curling up to rest, "Doyou think it would be possible to bring back something for Alekai, Frost, Falinx, Gian, and me? It doesn't have to be much."

"I'll try, my little one." she said quietly.

"Thank you. If anything, you'll bring with you the story all your journey," she said, grabbing onto one of the willow' branches when they past under it.

"Goldenscale, I want you to meet Kor, my first mate," Mayumi said once she noticed Goldenscale was back, "You probably met him earlier when I started my reconection with nature."

"Yeah, I did, but it's still nice to know you by name, Kor." she said with a smile.

"I'm glad to have met the pressence that is keeping my dearest nakama from hurting herself," Kor said, becoming solid. Turning to face Goldenscale, his white a blue feathers shifted into place as they came into being. "I really must thank Frost and you for everything you two have done for Mayumi. Frost may have been given a new begining, but his efforts broought you who has relieve Mayumi of so much pain," he said, looking down to the hatchling Mayumi was cradling, "He wanted to do more for her, and asked me to help. I have led him to being this little girl's spirit. He deserved the chance more than I did."

"You will get your chance one day dear," Mayumi said, looking up to Kor, "Our spirits are all bound to the life stream of the planet we're on. We will always be reborn, in one form or another. Our spirits are those that cronical the events of past and present through multiple lives."

"Who is Nakama?" she asked, tilting her head slightly.

"Friend, comrade, loved one, nakama is all of that. Mayumi is my nakama, and I would do anything to protect and make her happy," Kor said, looking back to Goldenscale, "I extend that title to you, as I have to all the spirits of nature this planet has. I may be one thousand years ahead of my time, but the spirits now are the same as they have been all those years ago I'm sure."

As Kor spoke, a small crystal ball formed where everyone could see it.Starting to spin, the ball started releasoing a sleep inducing powder. "Embrace the dream world, and help yourselves to the Doctor's Ball," a faint voice said, coming from the ball.

Goldenscale was confused again.  "What is the Doctor's Ball?  It sounds familiar..." she asked quietly as she slumped down on the ground, falling asleep.

"It seems to be that time of year again. Looks like it is time for some fun," Mayumi yawned, starting slump down into a comfortable position.

As everyone fell asleep, the ball floated down to the ground and released a mist that entered everyone's minds.

"Welcome back Goldenscale, I told you I would extend my reach to bring you to this celebration," Nefirian said, opening a large door that dispelld Goldenscale's dream and replaced it with the mansion she had visited in the reverie. Standing off to Goldenscale's sides was Mayumi, Kor, Chiei, Ece, all three hatchlings, and all of Goldenscale's enforcers.

"Ah, the Doctor's Ball, one of the largest celebrations of  Valenth. This was the celebration held in the dream realm I was telling you about a week ago," Mayumi said, turning to face Goldenscale, "Feel free to enjoy yourself here. Nothing will harm the guests of the Dreamwalker himself. Everything here is both real and not so don't worry about breaking anything on accident, it'll just fix itself."

"It has been a long time since I've been to one of these. Now I don't have to worry about failing to keep a promise now," Kor said, picking up Chiei andhugging her.

Goldenscale just stood there, not knowing what to do.  She had never experience such a thing before and for some odd reason, she couldn't sem to grasp the concept of what she was to do there.  "What do you do during a Doctor's Ball?" she asked.  She needed to understand at least a bit of it before she could go off.
