"When the world becomes whole again, we will no longer be needed by the spirits. We will be free to protect those we wish or to take our final rest. On that note, we have also come with a message and gift from Aga to both Ahnah and Corazon" the spirit said, looking to Ahnah and watching her briefly, "At the end of the day, bring both of them back to the gates of the Fortress of Ends for what she has left for them.As for the message, she wants them both to know that no matter what happens, she will always be in their hearts and memories, and that they should never give up on life. She also wishes them to know she will return to the living come spring when the first of the new generation arrives."

Placing a wing over Goldenscale, Ahnah lightly leaned against her. While unable to see or hear the spirit, she could sense their prescence about the room. Not wanting to interupt them, she only nuzzled into Goldenscale's side while she waited.

Goldenscale listened attentively to the spirit, not wanting to miss anything it did.  She then looked down at Ahnah when she nuzzled into her side, then smiled before placing a wing over her and nodding to the spirit.  "I'll be sure to tell them that.  I think they'll be happy when they hear it." she said with a smile.  She then closed her eyes for a moment before opening them again.  "Though I never got to meet Aga before she passed, could you let her know that I'll take good care of Ahnah?  I can't say the same for Corazon, but I know that I can ease some of her worries a little bit by protecting one of her daughters." she said, her arms folded loosely under her chest.

"We will be sure to tell her next we meet her. While she didn't seem to have any worries about their safety, we're sure she'll be happy to hear at least one has someone looking after them," the spirit said as it and the other spirits reverted to the light they had arrived as, "We must be leaving now. Soon the humans will be waking and we will have to return to our positions to guid them away. We will deliver your message when we can."

Goldenscale gave a bow of her head in response and in respect.  "Thank you very much." she said.  She then looked up and watched them as they began to leave, giving them a small wave from her paw as they changed to the balls of light.  "Thanks again.  I wish you all luck in dealing with the humans." she said happily before she hugged Ahnah.

Waiting till after the spirits had left, Deniigistepped over to Goldenscale and Ahnah with a smile. "She may not be that worried, but she is a mother.Wherever she ends up, I'm sure she'll be happy knowing that those she cared about are cared for," he said, watching as the last spirit left, "She always worried about Ahnah's safety over the years, it will be a relief for her to hear that she's well looked after."

"If it helps her rest, then I am glad for it. After everything she's dealt with, she deserve a peaceful rest. If I could have things my way, I would want to take Corazon with us so that she too could be looked after, but this place needs her. At least father is making a turn for the better," Ahnah said, wrapping her wings around Goldenscale, "If he holds to his word, which I know he will, he will come around to defend he should need be. If there was anything he cared about more than sticking to tradition, it was mother, and he would do anything he promised her."

Goldenscale nodded and smiled back when Deniigi spoke.  "Exactly why I promised such.  Aga deserves to know that one of her children will be taken care of after she has passed and will be protected during our travels.  I would have been relieved to hear the same thing.  Besides, Ahnah's too precious for me not to protect her." she said, nuzzling into Ahnah's neck after she spoke.  She then looked at Ahnah as she spoke, listening thoughtfully before giving a nod.  "That is true.  Every civilization has those who are needed, and it would not be beneficial to take those important to it from their duties.  I am glad that Alignak has changed too.  Now that he doesn't have all that pride and ignorance blocking his rationality, he should be able to act as a better father to her." she said happily, giving a small chirp after she spoke.

"Not only does she now have her father looking after her, I now have the power needed to protect her as well. While I am mostly focusing on making the changes that need to be done, nothing comes before the safety of the village and those who live in it. If there was one job Alignak did well, it was making sure this place was safe," Deniigi said, watching Goldenscale and Ahnah, "While it will take some heavy revising, his way of doing so was sound and effective. Times have changed since he made those peramiters, and it needs to be updated to better reflect that."

"Now that he has little more than family and a place to live, I'm sure Alignak will be more careful with what the world has been kind enough to let him keep. While I may not forgive him just yet, he's well on him way to being a better person all together," Ahnah said, giving a smile, "Maybe once our journey is over, we can come back here for a visit."

Goldenscale nodded as she listened to Deniigi speak.  It was very true.  Now that he was the leader of this civilization, Deniigi had the power to prevent something or to make something happen.  She was sure she could do the same, with the help of the other Councilmembers of course, but it was a job that needed a very level head, one that Alignak hadn't had and one that Deniigi would hopefuly keep.  She then smiled.  "Sounds very much like something happening back home." she said with a chuckle. She then looked at Ahnah as she spoke, noding.  "Maybe we can.  I'm sure that we'll be able to survive the journey, osthatshould e a high posibility." she said with a purr, wanting to stay positive and think positively.

"I was thinking more of if we have time rather than still being alive. I have no doubt that we'll survive. Rather, I'm mroe worried about what conditions we may be under once the jounrey is done. For all we know, we may be needed back home just as soon as we're done," Ahnah said, nuzzling into Goldenscale's neck again, "While a break would be nice after a long journey, there's no telling what will be waiting for us."

"Don't worry about it too much, if you're needed, you're needed. It's not like we're going to be migrating accross the lands," Deniigi said before looking back to the door to see someone walking in, "For now, we have someone to tend to."

Pushing through the door way, a villager made their way in pulling a sled in behind them with an injured onboard. "An avalanch caught us off guard on the way back down from the cliffs. I got off with only a few scratches, but my friend here has been knocked out since then," the villager explained, "I don't know how injured he is, but I do know he's got a broken wing and leg. Beyond that, I don't know."

Goldenscale frowned, but nodded in understanding.  She hadn't thought of that., but she was porbably going o have duties needing to be performed when she got back.  She was apart of the council after all.  "That is true.  Our duties won't end unless we retire from our jobs, and I would think that would be highly unlikely." she said, nuzzling Ahnah back after she spoke.  She then looked to Deniigi and smiled, his statement true.  Then she turned her head just as the door opened.  She then listened at what the villager ha to say before she went to inspect the injured being.  Though she wasn't as advanced as Mayumi was when it came to healing, she knew quite a bit when it came to plants.  "Alright, I'l ned to find some elderberries to help lessen the pain, kava to use as a sedative, and purple coneflower to prevent infection after we set the bone." she decided.  She then looked at Deniigi after she spoke just to make sure that he was alright with her usage of plants.

"We should have plenty of that growing the the guarden. Can you go get that while we give this one a quick check for further injury Ahnah," Deniigi asked, looking over to Ahnah and getting a nod. "Aside from the broken limbs, I can't sense any other major injuries. Seems he got off with mostly bruising," he said after carefully feeling over vital areas of the unconscious, "At worst, he'll be down for a month or so."

Returning with the needed plants, Ahnah passed them over to Goldenscale before heading over to a shelf to pull out a few needed tools. "Here, we'll need these to make sure the bones are set correctly and to make sure they don't shift while healing," she said, bringing the tools and materials over, "Once the wounds are cleaned, and the bones set, I'll get the cast set."

Goldenscale nodded and watched as Deniigi checked the injured citizen, making careful note of any bruising near the broken limbs.  Glancing over at Ahnah as she walked in, she took the plants handed to her and began to make poultices from them, except the kava.  That she would leave for later until the unconscious dragon woke.  Though she had never set bone before, she was certain she would be able to ask Deniigi for help if she needed it.  It was then, when she wanted to chek the injured being's aura to make sure he was out, that she remembered that she couldn't feel anything.  An unfamiliar constriction came into her chest, but she pushed it away as she pressed a couple fingers to the artery in his neck, checking his pulse for the familiar, steady and slow heartbeat that told if he was unconscious.  It was hard calculating how long he would continue to be under, but she guessed they had a good hour or so before he woke.  "Alright.  I don't think it should take very long to set the bones." she said as she felt for the broken bone in the wing first, wanting to mend that first so Ahnah could cast it.

"It shouldn't take long at all if there aren't too many breaks. I fear the wing may have too many breaks to fully heal though," Deniigi said, unfolding the broken wing so Goldenscale could get at it better.

Along the main length of the wing, there were break at the middle joint and near the tip. Along each digit were breaks leading to the tail edge of the wing. While most of the fragments were several that had been crushed or lost.

"Whether or not it will fully recover, it'll still need to be bandaged up," Ahnah said, preparing the casting material.

Goldenscale gave a snort and crossed her arms before walking over to look at the wing.  "Then I shall find a way to make it heal fully.  No one should be grounded.  'When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return.'" she quoted.  The trees had told her the quote, and it was one she found to be very true.  She trailed a hand gently along the breaks and fractures, mapping out everything and trying to mental figure out how much energy would have to be spent to try and regrow the missing bone fragments.  It wouldn't be hard to put the fragments back and cast those, but the fragments would be harder.

"Do what you think is best. Normally, we'd have to settle for just casting the ing as best we could, but shamans do not have as much energy at their command as you may," Deniigi said, giving a nod as he watch Goldenscale work, "Even with the help of nature, we can only do so much because we are not nature itself. I'm sure he'll be eternally greatful if you can repair the damage though."

"His mate would be greatful for sure. SHe's always going on about how much fun it is to go flying with him. Having lost a wing to a near lethal infection, he usually carries her," the resident said, giving a nod as well.
