"As much as I can hope and wish to see this place again one day, I will most likely not. Knowing the spirits, I will most likely die out on the tundra. With no home and no place to go, the frozen tundra will be my grave," Alignak said, laying down across the fire from Goldenscale and Ahnah, "Unless the spirits show me murcy undeserved, this will likely be the last day I will get."

Goldenscale sighed.  "Well, it is deserved.  You caused emotional, physical and mental harm to your daughters, and I don't know what else.  But like most spirits, you will most likely be born again as a new being without memory of your previous life." she said.  That was the best thing that could happen if the spirits showed him no mercy and killed him out in the tundra.  But if he loved, then he might be able to start anew.

"Knowing that, I can only wish for a family that loves me when my spirit is released back into life," Alignak said, laying his head down.

"You wont be left to the tundra, not if I can help it. You may have done unmeasurable harm to Ahnah and Corazon, but you are the only one who knows haw to manage the storage house in a timely manner," Deniigi said, taking a seat by the fire, "The spirits may punish you with death, but I still believe there is good in you yet."

Goldenscale smiled turning to Deniigi.  "Well, if he still has enough good to realize what sins he comminted, then there is still a chance for him to redeem himself then." she said, turning to Alignak.  "Well, your life is not over yet.  Try your best at this new beginning, will you, Alignak?" she asked, hoping he would try again.  He needed to learn how to make a living for himself as a normal citizen, though she was sure he'd manage.

"With my choices being either life or death, I'll take this new beginning," Alignak said with a nod, "I may not be able to change the past, but I will do what I can to make right what I did wrong."

"That's good to hear brother. Until we can get a house for you built, you're welcome to stay with me. I would give you my old place, but Aipaloovik will be inheriting that," Deniigi said, smiling, "While your age may mean you wont be able to fully make amends before your time is up, it is better to make right as much as you can."

Goldenscale gave a smile and nodded.  "Well, I'm glad that you'll be able to do some good before your own end comes, Alignak." she said.  By now she was beginning to feel much hotter than she should have.  So in response she lifted her wings into the air and shied away from the fire and Ahnah, though still close enough to Ahnah to be able to hold her paw.  Wait, she was too hot?  That's not right...  Well, there was the fire there, and the fire was very hot.  Maybe that was the cause of her discomfort.

"Seeing as it's getting, you all should think about getting inside. With or without a fire, a night outside is very unpleasant. That, and you and Ahnah could especially use some rest after everything that you've went through," Deniigi said, nodding for the resident to go off on their own business, "With all the chilling and heating up you and Midnight have been doing, I wouldn't be surprised if you two picked up a minor cold. If you have, then we'll be able to tell for sure in the morning. From there, we'll be able to help by providing medicine."

"I'm glad that I'll at least have a chance to do some good for once," Alignak said with a nod, "Getting inside is a good idea. I'll be by to check on you and Ahnah in the morning. For now, we all need rest."

Goldenscale gave a shiver and snorted, releasing some of her inner head.  "That sounds nice.  She then went over to Ahnah and placed her on her back.  "Alright, we'll talk to you both later then.  Have a nice nighgt." she said.  Though she would have liked to use both of her wings to keep Ahnah safely secured on her back, she could not.  She wasn't sure it was a good idea to use her arm, so she had to use her wing instead to keep herself balanced.  It wasn't long until she made it to Deniigi's house.  Once inside, she placed Ahnah next to the fire and next to Midnight before she went off to a corner to col off.  She definitely knew she was sick because it was so abnormal for her to be so hot and uncomfortable in a plce where she knew that was needed. Hopefully Ahnah would understand when she woke why she wasn't next to her.

Hearing Goldensca;e enter with Ahnah, Aipaloovik exited his room to find Ahnah by the fire and Goldenscale in the corner. "It's good to see you all back mostly unharmed. I checked Midnight when she was brought in earlier, and it seems she has a slight fever. From the looks of it, you've caught a bit of it as well," he whispered, sitting down beside Goldenscale, "In the morning, you and Midnight should head to the meeting house and speack with Corazon. She may sound devoid of emotoin, but she knows her way around medicine."

Goldenscale raised her head slightly when she felt Aipaloovik walk over to her.  She gave a groan.  "Ugh, I haven't felt this way since my first winter.  I hate being so uncomfortable when I want to be warm.  It feels like I'm burning, and I know I am.  I'll see her in the morning as an added precaution, but I have herbs I can use.  I'm an herbalist and a botanist as well, so I know what to use.  I just really don't want to move right now to get them..." she said with a groan.  She then chuckled.  "This is the only time I have really wanted snow..." she said.

"Right now, that would be a bad idea. Drastically forcing your body heat up or down will only serve to make it worse," Aipaloovik said, standing up, "I will get you a cool damp towel to put around your head though. That should keep your temperature down enough to get some sleep," Walking back into his room for a moment, he returned with a small bowl of water and a towel. Dipping the towel in the water, he strained it before wrpping it around Goldenscale's forehead, "There, that should do you till morning."

Goldenscale cllsed her eyes and waited for Aipaloovik's return.  She then gave a soft sigh of relief.  It felt wonderful, having the damp towel just sit on her forehead.  She must have been more sick than she had originally thought.  "Thanks..." she said quietly.  She left her eyes closed and folded her wings against her body, laying her injured arm on her side instead.  "Where is Midnight?" she asked., opening her eyes and looking at Aipaloovik.

"Midnight's fine. Her fever isn't nearly as bad as yours, but it would still do her good to get some medicine in her. She's sitting near the fire with Ahnah," Aipaloovik said, nodding to the two near the fire, "I can't say I know what's wrong with Ahnah. She seems  to be healthy, but she refuses to respond."

Goldenscale let her gaze wander towards the fire to see the others, then looked back at Aipaloovik.  "She's mourning the loss of her mother.  That's why I've been outside for so long..." she said, exhaling heavily through her nose and getting rid of some of the excess heat in her body.  "Just give her time, and she'll respond again.  If not, I'll see if I can do anything."

"That's all I needed to know. This will be the first death I can remember then. I guess that explains the gathering outside then," Aipaloovik said, lowering his ears, "Aunt Aga is in a better place now, ffree of pain."
