Goldenscale frowned and nodded. "Thank you. It was difficult loosing him." she said with a sigh. She then listened to Deniigi as he spoke his next question, but before she answered the wall broke down. She smiled when she saw Ahnah, but then screeched in surprise and flew over to her, very concerned. "Ahnah! Are you alright!?" she said, her voice filled with as much worry as her face showed. She didn't expect this to happen to Ahnah because Midnight had gone so long before she too fell unconscious, but she had assumed much. She crouched next to Ahnah, her wings quivering in anticipation and worry and her tail flicking in nervousness. "Ahnah...?" she said, softer, but with even more concern, even a little fear added in.

Looking up to Goldenscale, Ahnah gave a tired smile before laying her head back down. "I'm.... fine, just tired. I underestimated a few components of the puzzle. and I payed for it. I should have enough time to recover while you, Kaden, and Deniigi manage your puzzles," she said, wrapping the end of her tail around Goldenscale's leg, "Just goes to show that you shouldn't go into these things expecting something simple."

Catching up with Goldenscale, Deniigi and Midnight looked her over, brushing off any frist that clung to her fur. "Just don't strain yourself Ahnah. There may be no visible injuries, but that doesn't mean there aren't any below the surface," Deniigi said, " Regardless, some rest will do you good."

Turning to Goldenscale, Deniigi gave a smile before slipping Kaden off his back, "If you're ready, the next puzzle is open. If not, I can take it, " he said, nodding to the  door at the end of the room, "Either way, someone needs to keep aan eye on Ahnah while she rests. There's no telling what all manner of injuries she managed to catch in her puzzle."

Goldenscale gave a sigh of relief, a smile washing over her face. "You should do as Deniigi says. You really shouldn't push yourself. If you damage yourself, I will find out what you did and heal you, but then I might be angry." she said with a smile. Well, that's a lie. She could never be angry at Ahnah for any good reason. She then frowned and got up, giving a shaky breath as she remembered the door that will close behind her. "I'll be fine. Let me finish my puzzle while I can. I want to know how much energy I will have afterwards to help Kaden with. Besides, the faster I get back, the faster I can make sure you're all safe." she said. She then began to walk towards the doorway, smiling at them as she walked in. Now there was no turning back. It was time to face the puzzle and master her phobia. She could not fail.

As the door slammed behind her, the room bacame pitch black with the sound of scraping ice filling the room. When light came back to the room, it revealed row upon row of moving ice. As each row moved, small gaps could be seen cut into a single block of each row. At the opposite side of the room, and ice covered lever sat being held by what appeared to be a spirit.

Goldenscale gave a gasp and had to hold back a shriek as the room went dark, her claustrophobia already restricting her. She managed to calm down when the lights turned back on, but she was still nervous. But as she surveyed the area, she smiled. So more training then. She noticed that the rows of ice moved and that there were cubes of open space in the flooring. With a smile she curled her tail around her leg and jumped in. As the rows quickly closed in on her, she would curl herself into the space, her body small enough to fit inside. She was still frightened, though not as much as before. As she figured out the timing, she watched, then moved again, taking on each row one at a time slowly.

With each step closer to the lever Goldenscale took, the temperature seemed to drop. As she came to the last few rows of ice, the ground seemed to become much rougher than it had been, causing the moving ice to throw splinters as it made its way across the floor.

Goldenscale felt the temperature drop, but it wasn't as big a deal in the beginning as it was in the end. Tje farther she got, the harder it was for her to move and make it to the squares before the walls moved over them. One the fourth to last jump, she didn't realize she jumped out too late and as she tried to make it to the sqaure, she tried to stop, but ended up having her shoulder and side collide with the ice wall, sending her sliding across the ice. She got up and jumped out of the way just before she was crushed by the wall. Her shoulder and side hurt terribly, like she had broken something, and her head spun terribly, but she made it to the open cube and crawled in. It hurt too much to walk on the arm that had collided with the wall, and she was freezing quickly. Her body wasn't meant for this, and her scales began to pale to show her dropping body temperature. She knew she had to keep going, so she jumped back out when she had the chance and began to run toward the square, having to use her injured arm.

Upon being hit by the ice, the room seemed to grow darker. While the moving ice seemed uaffected and just as visible as before, the safe zones within them seemed to become darker and harder to see.

"Is that your best? I pitty the eternal spirit who chose you as their champion," the spirit by the lever called out, its voice seeming to carry through the moving ice, "You should just give up. There's no hope for you here. Not in this cold."

Goldenscale gave a snort at the voice, anger heating her body slowly.  "I'm done giving up.  I've done that for years.  Anyways, that spirit has never been dissappointed in my actions no matter what I did.  She is proud of me and I know that.  Now if you excuse me, I've got to finish the course." she said.  Though it had gotten darker and her body was continually showered with ice shards and frost, she needed to continue on, or else they would never make it out.  She gave a cry of pain when she used her front paws to throw herself out of the hole and into the next one, since she was still able to feel where she was and where the edges were.  She was now in the second to last one before seh reached it, and she was determined to continue going, though her scales were now closer in color to snow that the sunlight.  She was freezing and she knew it, but even if she didn't survive it, she needed to finish the puzzle.

"Let's see you prove that then. There's only so much one of the Moon's choosing can do here in Ice's domain," the spirit laughed, "Your scales and fur can't protect you here. With the time distortion here, who's to say your friends aren't already gone."

Upon reaching the last hole, a small blue stone similar to the red one Midnight had obtained in her puzzle could be seen. Making contact with the stone felt as though one was placing their hands within a flowing stream.

Goldenscale gave a laugh of her own.  "You underestimate me.  My scales and fur may not be able to protect me for long in the cold, but I have more determination and will to live than most.  That I learned the hard way." she said.  With one final jump, she reached the last hole and dove in, her body curling around inside as she picked up the stone.  She closed her eyes in bliss at the calm and relaxing feeling.  With a violoent shiver bringing herself back, she jumped out of the hole and to the lever, pulling it down as more violent shivers began.  Her scales had almost drained of all color by then, her body's own way of showing how cold she was.  Her breath condensed thickly as she breathed shakily, but she continued to smile as she waited for the wall to come down.

"You've done well. We will meet agian some day. Be prepared," the spirit said as the room went dark and silent. After what seemed like hours, light began to stream in through the cracks that formed in the wall. When the wall shatered, it flooded the area with light.

Picking herself up, Ahnah ran to Goldenscale's side before wrapping her wings around her. "Praise the spirits you're alright," she said, doing whatever she could to warm Goldenscale back up, "You're white as snow, but you're alive. Let's get you warmed up."

Coming to Ahnah's side, Deniigi and Midnight smiled upon seeing Goldenscale. "It's good to see that you made it with little more than a few scrapes and a chill," Deniigi said, examining  the injuried caused by the ice, "Well, at least the bleeding was instantly stopped by the cold freezing it shut."

Goldenscale smiled and nodded. "Some day..." she echoed. She then closed her eyes and sat on her haunches, waiting for the light. Once flecks made its way through her eyelids, she opened them again, smiling wider despite her shivering. She shielded her eyes when light floooded the room, then chirped when she saw Ahnah. She hugged her when she came over with her good arm, her injured one folded and held at her side underneath her wing. "I did it! They told me to give up, but I did it. I proved the spirit wrong." she said with a purr. She then smiled at Deniigi and Midnight when they came over, then took her arm out of her wing when Deniigi began to inspect it so he could see better. She couldn't help but wince, but she would rather feel pain than be dead. "It'll heal. At least I have 3 other limbs to walk on and fight with." she said, still smiling. She then tucked her arm back inside her wing and fluffed her feathers. "I never knew I could change such a brilliant white..." she said, yawning. She looked sleepy, but she was still alert. "What do we do with the colored spheres?" she asked.

"I suspect we'll need them to open the door out. They seem to represent the three elements needed to live. Within the next two puzzles, there should be a green stone to represent nature where red represents the sun's warmth, and blue the life giving water," Deniigi said, watching  as Midnight handed her stone to Goldenscale.

"Here, this stone is very warm to the touch. You need it more than me right now," Midnight said, tucking the stone under Goldenscale's wing, "It kept me warm during my puzzle. I think it'll help you well right now."

"The spirits here seem to like playing tricks on people by the sounds of it. First Midnight, then you. We'll have to be careful about them," Ahnah said, placing a blanket over Goldenscale, "The white you've become is probably from you blood rushing away from the surface of your skin, taking color with it. Once Deniigi and Kaden finish their puzzles, we'll need to rush you to a house. We should be able to keep you warm enough till then."

Goldenscale nodded, intrigued that such objects had such properties. She gave a purr and felt the warmth underneath her wing and in her side. "Thanks, Midnight." she said. Her shivering had lessened and she was getting warmer. She then puffed her feathers underneath the blanket Ahnah placed around her. She then listed to her as she said why her scales probably turned white. She shivered, but it wasn't all that bad now. She felt warm enough. She then squeaked. "I need to help Kaden I told him I would. That and I need you guys to be safe too." she said. "I'm honestly fine, I don't feel cold now. I like the cold." she added.
