"It hardly ever snowed back in the city. When it did, the snow was gone by the next day," Midnight said, looking around at the walls of snow around the paths, "I nev er knew snow could get this packed."

"Thankfully it doesn't snow this much, unless it is made with magic.  I would be frozen within moments..." she said with a sigh.  She then gave a glance at the snow walls and shuddered.  "Let us find Alignak quickly so that we can get out of the cold.  We may be on dry gound, but the walls of snow are generating cold..."  She then closed her eyes and began to follow the aura.

Fallowing behind Goldenscale, Midnight looked around at the ice, giving a shudder at the thought of how cold it was. After some time searching, Alignak's aura leaad them to a small stone building situated in the center of the village.

Goldenscale and Midnight eventually arrived at the stone building.  She then gave a small gup and looked at Midnight.  "Are you ready to talkt to Alignak?" she asked her.  There was no use in mkaing her do something that she didn't want to do, so she wanted to make sure that she was ready to go before they actually did it.

"There's no use in going back now. I don't think I'd be able to make it back to the elder's house at this rate," Midnight said, pulling her blanket close as they appraoched the door, "Ready or not, I'd rather live and be yelled at than freeze and be disrespected."

Goldenscale nodded.  "Okay then, here we go..." she said.  She then walked up to the dor and knocked before she stood, pulling her blanket around her more tightly.

When the door opened, the figure behind it was of a dragon that looked just like Ahnah except for greatly faded fur and scales from age. "Who are you, and what do you want with us," she asked, her eyes giving away her mostly blind state, "If you're here to ask permission to clear more of the snow, there is no need to ask, go ahead. Alignak isn't seeing anyone right now."

Goldenscale smiled, even though by the look in Ahnah's mother's eyes gave away that shd was mostly blind.  "Please do excuse us, ma'am, if we have interrupted anything.  My name is Goldenscale, and my friend's name is Midnight.  We were hoping to speak to Mr. Alignak about something concerning out plans.  If now isn't a good time, we would be glad to come some other time." she said respectfully.

"You are nt of this village, and you carry the scent of our daughter. What business do you have here? If it is important enough, Alignak will hold a meeting with you," Aga said after taking a deep breath, "I can not promise he will be thrilled with your plrecents, but if it is important, he will listen."

"No, we are not of this village.  I live far from here, but we are here in search of the ice rune I side of the Fortress.  Our goal is to find the runes and unite all of the elemental deities so we can bring back Kyne.  We need Alignak to open the door to the Fortess so we can retrieve it and co tinue on our journey." she explained.

"I see, that is an important task. To bring back Kyne would be to bring balance back to the world," she said, giving a nod before coughing. "Before you go to Alignak, what can you say of my daughter Ahnah? He scent is strong on you," she said, lowering her voice, "I have not seen or sensed her for so long, and her sister has been made to be without a voice of her own."

Goldenscale smiled at the mention of Ahnah.  "She is well and happy.  Back home, I am of much importance to the society and I chose her to be one of my enforcers.  I had sensed that she had much potential and she has not proven me wrong.  She is a wonderful friend and protector.  I trust her with my life." she said.  "If you wish I could try and see if I could help her little sister?" she offered.

"I wish there was something you could do. She has no personallity of her own. If you had come a few years earlier, she might have been saved. There is nothing to help now," she said, shaking her head, "As for Ahnah, I'm glad to hear she's OK. She deserves better than what I could do for her. I failed her, and I can do nothing for her now."

Goldenscale shok her head.  "It is not your fault.  I have heard about what Alignak is doing, and there was no way for you to stop him.  He thinks too much of the past, though it is not the best path to choose.  All I can hope is that the child does end up pleasing her father, now that she has gone this far." she said quietly.

"The way she's been raised, she's exactly how Alignak wants her. All she knows is to be a shaman and how to survive when needed. I haven't seen her since she started her training as well. Atka, the current shaman, is still training her," she said, lowering her head, "With Corazzon being taken from me, I have nothing more than my freedom. If there is anything you can do to bring Ahnah back to me, I would be greatful. I want to at least see her one more time before this illness takes me. I only have so much time left."
