Goldenscale snorted, sitting around a heat source in the hut.  "If I have to, I will have a discussion with him and I will persuade him to belive us and what we came to do.  I would not leave her when I left, and I sure will not leave her now just because her father refuses to use his brain." she said with a frown.  "We have our mission, and he is a part of it."

"While he is stuborn fellow, he does have decent reasoning. If you give him a reason to believe you, he will work with you, but you have to get through that hard shell he calls leadership. Your best chances would be to leave Ahnah here with me while you speak with Alignak. It's best that he doesn't know Ahnah is here," the elder said, bringing the group cups filled with hot tea, "Here, this should warm you bakc up. While you drink, what say you tell me what it is you are traveling for?"

Goldenscale chuckled.  "I can get past it.  There were quite a few dragons like him back home, and I was able to get them to see my reasoning as well.  It might take me a while, but I have confidence I can." she said with a nod.  "Thank you." she said with a smile when she was handed the tea.  "Well, Ahnah and I are traveling to gather the 13 elemental runes so that we could bring back Kyne and bring together the elementals with their champions.  Once Kyne has been awakened, then we shall go to defeat the Shade." she said with a nod.  "I don't know very much about this, so Ahnah's helping me." she said with a smile as she slowly sipped her tea.

"I see, so you're enacting the legend of Gold and Silver as it is called here. Kyne has been missing for a long time. It is high time someone freed her from her confines. The Shade has outlive his welcome," the elder said witha smile, "I'm glad someone in this world is taking the old legends to heart."

"I guess so.  The Moon has taken care of the world in her absense and it is about time to bring her back.  I have quite a few promises to keep during this journey, so I also want to keep them." she said with a nod.

"If I could, I would help you. My age keeps me from going too far for fear of becoming too injured. On top of that, I don't have that many helpful skill for your jouney," he said, sitting down on a well worn straw pad, "The moon has done a good job maintaining her part of the world, most spirits have. Those that haven't have good reasons."

"I wouldn't want you to get in trouble.  When would be the best time to talk to him?" she asked.  She then smiled.  "I'll give her your compliments next time I see her.  She has tried hard to keep the world in harmony." she said with a wide smile and a nod.

"Given a storm is going on, if it is gone by tomorrow, I would suggest wating till about noon to go find and talk to him. He finishes his daily rounds about noon. Catch him just as he finishes his rounds to catch him in a more open state of mind," he said, "More timing than anythig, but tryto find him as early as uyou can after rounds."

Goldenscale nodded.  "Okay, I'll be sure to do that.  So go find him tomorrow around noon to find him in a more open state of mind." she said recapping to make sure she had memorized it.  There was no point in doing this if she was going to forget.  She just wanted to be cautious about what she should do as well because these were different dragons with separate ways if living.

"I'm sure you already know this, but if you have something that can better prove your point, use it. Again, he may be stuborn, but he is also reasonable when it comes to evidence," he said, watching as Ahnah curled up in the corner farthest from the fire.

Goldenscale gave a single nod.  "Got it.  I will use every bit of evidence I have, and I will do everything possible to get him to understand.  Should I tell him that Ahnah is with me, or should I wait until we leave on the mission to enlighten him about it?" she asked.  Seeing as he refused to talk about her and wanted the others to attack her on sight, she needed to know what to do about this.

"It would be best if you waited till you were leaving before telling him. Given Ahnah's current state, she doesn't need him attacking her on top of her heat. The damage done could be more than just external injuries," he said, shaking his head, "While her attractions are different than the normal, she doesn't deserve having all chances of children taken away from her."

Goldenscale nodded.  "If he dared to hurt her, he would have to go through me anyways.  I am not one that likes to fight, but once you give me a reason to, I will fight until my opponent usrrenders or is destroyed.  Ahnah is family, and I will risk my life to make sure she is safe." she said with a frown.  She could get very scary very quickly, and she didn't want these dragons to know just how bad that could be.  But there weren't going to be any exceptions.  If Ahnah's father even thought about harming her, Goldenscale herself would know and it would be dealt with quickly.  

"That wont be an issue so long as he doesn't know of her pressence here. In recent years, his ability to sense auras has greatly dwindled. He couldn't tell a rabbit's aura from a tree's these days. He relies more on sight and smell now," he said, placing a cover over Ahnah, "If he does find her here though, I will do what I ca to protect her. I can't make any promises, but I will do what I can."

Goldenscale smiled and nodded.  "Thank you.  Here I am at a disadvantage because I am not used to this join, so all help is greatly appreciated." she said.  She then finished the last of the tea and she got up, placing the cup on a table nearby before curling up next to the fire again.
