"True and as long as they dont turn the spuds to alcohol. We shouldn't have to worry." Beck says getting to the top.

"That too, I don't understand how anyone could like that stuff. It stinks and tastes bad. Here, catch," he said tossing down some fruit from the tree, "We'll need these preserved for next season."

Beck catces the pears that Nathaniel throws down. He carefully places them into a container.

IN the distance, the sound of a large panther like creature could be heard, breaking the silence of the area. "Did you hear that," he asked crouching at the end of the branch, "I really hope it's not what it sounded like."

"I did and it was close," Beck said going and putting the container away into his backpack.

"You might want to get up in a tree or somewhere some ways off the ground," he said trying to locate the source of the sound, "This thing may be way bigger than either of us can handle."

"I know but i can be bait," He said walking over to a big rig and hits the gas tank.

"Trust me, if this is what I think it is, you don't want to be bait," he said as another roar was heard but closer, "This thing could very well cut you in half as well as that truck."

"What's the worst that could happen?" he said hitting it more. The sooner they get it the sooner they could get rid of it.

"Your death. Even the fabled monster hunters had trouble killing these creatures, and they had much more armor and weaponry than we do," he said as he watched the surounding treeline, "If this thing is green or lucient subspecies, we're in for a much harder time."

Beck hits it one last time before heading to cover.

From the treeline, a black furred and scaled creature about the size of the rig walked into the clearing, and headed straight for the big rig. Sniffing at the truck, it realed back as it hit the exauhst pipe. A moment later, the truck was split in half as the creature brought its tail down on the vehicle.

Beck stayed inside the building. He tried to think of a way to go and lure the creature away.

From the treeline, three smaller creature looking just like the large one ran in and jumped up plafully on it. Ignoring the the younglings as they played on its back, the larger one keept searching the area. After sniffing at all the trees and bushes, it made its way over to the buildings were it started looking into every window and door.

Beck hid in a supply closet with no windows. "I hit the fire didn't I?"
