Goldenscale continued to look at the brilliant red of the eggs.  The only other time she had seen eggs was when she was helping the little ones inside to hatch.

"Well, I need to get home so I can get these little enigmas into the nest with the other three. Don't want them getting cold or damaged," Metraz said closing the sling, "You two are free to come along. I'm sure Aimée   wouldn't mind meeting her sister inlaw, or you Goldenscale."

"It would be nice to visit your place. It may have been seven years ago, but I can still give some tip on caring for the eggs," Kasra said with a smile, "What about you Goldenscale, want to come along? Maybe you can learn something about us as a species while you're there."

She smiled.  "Yeah!" she said, bouncing around.  She stopped after a while because the gashes along her body still weren't completely healed.  But she never showed her pain.  She just continued to smile in happiness.

"You are definitely a free spirit Goldenscale," Metraz said watching as Goldenscale bounced around happily before he turned to leave, "Fallow me, my home isn't too far from here."

After a few minutes of weaving in and out tunnels leading up the cave wall, Metraz finally stopped at the top where a single large door saa. "Here we are. Go ahead and make yourselves comfortable, I'm going to get these eggs to the neast," he said before stepping through the door.

Goldenscale looked around, sitting in a corner of the room.

"Didn't expect to have any visitors today. To who do we owe the pleasure of this visit too," a red dragon askedwhen she came into the room, "I'm Aimée, who might you two be?"

""I'm Goldenscale." she said with a smile.

"And I'm Kasra," she said after Goldenscale introduced herself.

"So, you're Goldenscale. For some reason, I pictured you would be older," Aimée said  laughing a little to herself, "Anyways, welcome to out little home. Sorry if it's a little mssy right now, but we're just now finishing preperations for our eggs."

"Most people would because I act older than I really am.  A lot older..." she said.

"Sometimes we just have to act well past our age. If you don't mind me asking, how old are you," Aimée asked.

"About 14 years..." she said quietly.  Her age seemed to baffle everyone.  But she didn't have a choice in how she acted anymore.

"To think, there are people who are well beyong 50 that don't act half as mature as you. Your age explains why you aren't as strict as the rest of the council though," she said, "Your parents must be proud of you. Besoming part of the council at such a young age must not have been easy."

"I don't have any parents... I was abandoned before I hatched..." she said quietly.

"Sorry to hear that. Hopefully, you can find a family here. Whether or not that meanssettling down or not is up to you," she said lowing her head a little out of respect, "A family is something one can't substitute."

"I've seemed to find a family within each of the different creatures in the forest, though.  But I hope to find on here, too." she said with a slight smile.
