"They are the ones who care about what you have to say, no matter how. All three of them love you for who you are and will likely be spending the rest of their lives at your side.  Even I will be there for you. So long as nothing manages to kill me, I will live a good ine hundred years more. I owe my life expectancy to my natural connection with vitae," she said, "You have people who care for you, and they want to help you as much as you've helped them. All you have to do is let them."

"We all want to help, you just need to let us when we offer. We don't want to help because you helping us first, we want to help because we love youTieral and Ahnah both love you for who you are. Alekai loves you because you gave him life, and he would have it no other way. I love you because you are my daughter, even if you are adobted," she saidpatting Goldenscale's back with a wing, "When you leave for your journey, we'll all miss you and eagerly await your return. If there was some way we could help, we would try."

"And she will do what she can to help you on the journey then. If anything, she'll make the journey across unfamiliar land a little easier. Judging by her species, she's traveled a lot to get here," she said, "Come, let's try to enjoy the festival while we still can."

"Okay..." she said as she got up.

"I'd best get home before Metraz starts worrying. It's been a few hours since we left for that trial," she said, starting back towards the cave, "He has his own family to take care of, and he's your enforcer. In all truth, he shouldn't be watching over my nest for me. It's taking away time he could be using to do his job."

Goldenscale limped next to Mayumi.  "I'l go takw over for him until you get back." she said as she ran off towards MAyumi's home.  Once she got there she opened the door.  "You don't have to watch the eggs anymore.  I'll take over." she said.

"Mind if I ask what they whanted with Mayumi," Metraz asked, stepping off the nest, "and why has she moved her nest here? Surely Mayumi and Frost haven't fallen out with eachother."

Goldenscale chose not to answer and she looked away.  "Something happened..." was all she said as she went over to the nest and curled herself around the eggs and covered them with her wings.

"I'll look over the records next time I get a chance," he said, sitting against the nearest wall, "So, you enjoying the festival so far?"

"For my first one, yes." she said, thankful for the change in subject.

"That's good to hear. I wish I could enjoy the festival more than I am now, but I have to keep as busy as I can to raise funds. We may be getting resources from the council, but we still have to do our part in providing for thfamily," he said, looking over the shelves and the potions sitting on each one, "It make me wish we were as self reliant as Mayumi. Everything she has is a product of he own work. She doesn't take any kind of assistance form the council or anyone."
