"I wasn't expecting that the first day back, but yes." he said, nuzzling her.  "I was going to check up on Goldenscale, see how she was doin, then I thought we could go for a walk in the forest." he said.

"That sounds like a fine idea. A little fresh air will do us good," she said, returning the gesture, "I'm glad I chose you as my first, and I hope you'll be my only."

"Same here, my love." he said, placing a pancake on a plate and handing it to her.

"Thank you," she said, taking the plate and starting in on the pancake. A few moments later, the plate was cleared, "That was pretty good. I need to get used to sweet food again, but that'll come in time."

"Well, yoo go ahead and eat while I go get cleaned up. We may be defenders, but that doesn't mean we don't have to keep clean," she said, handing the plate to Ricken before heading off into another room.

After a few minutes Clair returned. "You ready," she asked, stretching, "This will be our first day on the job."

"I'll rest when i need it. I had a great night's sleep so i'm not as tired as you might think," she said," I may be gravid now, but nothing has had a chance to develope. I wont have to be careful for a few more days."

Slipping from Tieral's arms, Alekai ran over to and hid behind Goldenscale. 

"Good morning you two," Tieral said, opening the door to see Ricken and Clair, "I hope you had a good night's sleep. Keeping up with Goldenscale is no easy task. I'm sure you know this to be true RickenLarai came by earlier, he's off to meet with Mayumi."

"Alright. I just came by to check up on Goldenscale. She had a rough fight yesterday and I wanted to make sure she was well." he said. He was a bit worried about her. After years of observing her, he always noticed her scales were soft, somehow never reaching the smooth armor they are supposed to be, and because of this, she could be harmed both internally and externally.

"I had Ahnah check her over for injury earlier. She couldn't find any damage that wouldn't heal," he said, looking over his shoulder to Goldenscale, "Right now, Goldenscale is still asleep."
