"I know what triggers them, but the triggers are things I can't just ignore. Both are caused by too much of the asociated energy. I transformed earlier because there was too much dark enryg in the area," Tieral said, "My light form is triggered in the same way, but there has to be a lot more light energy in comparison to the dark energy needed for the dark form."

"Place a spell on yourself that keeps your body from noticing the dark energy." she stated.

"I've though of that, but I haven't been able to find such a spell or someone who knew one," he said, climbing down, "I'm thinking of just holding myself up somewhere until Moonlight can teach me to control them. Temporarily lock myself away so I can't hurt any more people."

"You haven't hurt anyone yet, so why would you now?" she said with a frown.

"I've hurt more people than you know. If you look on the buliten board at the guard post, there's a wanted poster for my dark and light forms. Both are wanted as murderers. The only reason I haven't locked myself away yet is because Ahnah was always there telling me it was a bad idea," he said, "The one thing I have noticed about both forms is that they target those who are close to death in age or have a history of crime. Still, I don't want the forms hurt anyone, not even if the target had it coming or was going to die soon anyways."

"Locking yourself away is a horrible idea.  You can't do anything while you are there.  And then there's Alekai and me.  What are we going to do while you're locked away so ehwere?  I'd be worried sick about you.  "There are different ways to control your forms.  You must need to find what works best for you." she said with a sigh.

"I'm afraid I might hurt you or Alekai. While I know you would manage to recover and Aleai would only need to be repared, I wouldn't be able to live with myself knowing I brought harm to either of you," he said, rubbing his hand where the crystal cut in earlier, "It's as though something in this world is getting a kick out of seing me suffer like this."

"Moonlight does not light seeing others suffer.  While you think it is suffering, you are doing something she must have told your forms.  But I assure you, she does not take joy from anyone suffering." she said with a stern tone.  

"There are other forces in this world than just the moon. While she is the symbol of life, the sky around her is the symbol of death. Moonlight is the light at the end of a long dark hall," he said, looking up to the dimming sky, "I do not feel it is her messing with me. It would be like you going out of your way to cause Mayumi harm, it would go against everything she stands for to mess with someone like I have been messed with. I fear it might be the darkness messing with me."

"The darkness is everywhere..." she said quietly.

"Yes, and just as much a presence as the moon," he said, stepping over to Goldenscale and placing a wing on her back. 

There was a rustling in the bushes behind Tieral and Goldenscale. Walking into the clearing was an elderly dragon who was feeling his way forward, pausing very few steps to feel around for anything to go on for direction.

"Excuse me, sir, do you need any help finding a certain destination?" she asked the elder.

"I-I'm trying to find the cave. My house fell down after some ruffians came through and broke the supports. I was lucky to be unharmed," he said, cautiously feeling his way over to Goldenscale, "I could do with any place to stay really. My son ran off fifteen years ago and my wife passed on long ago. I have nothing holding me anywhere except my lack of sight."

"Tieral, take him to the cave.  It seems as though there are some...ruffians...I need to deal with." she said.  She then got up.  "Could you tell me how many auras you felt around your home?" she asked.

"I haven't been able to feel magical energies or auras since i lost my sight," he said looking to the ground, "I'm lucky to still have my hearing. I can barely feel anything, and I haven't 'tasted' anything in a long time. I've been living on whatever plants i can manage to find that aren't poisoness."
