With a gasp, a hole opened up in the middle of the crowd and moved forward to the front. Standing at the front of the crownd now was Kokkorok, the former head of council. "Are you prepared to deal with anyone and anything," he asked, standing at the base of the podium, "Your position puts you between the council and the public as the middle man."

"Love, one of the most powerful forces in existence. It can both create and destroy depending on how it plays out. Love brings families together and breaks long held bonds. Wars have been fought because of love, and wars have been ended by it. Under the right conditions, one will do anything for love,' Mayumi said, "I have seen people take their own lives both for and because of love. Nothing heals better than someone loving another, and nothing hurts more than one leaveing  someone for another. Love itself is intangible, but its effects are felt all across the universe.  Love is built  by two beings becoming closer than any other ralation. Sometimes love comes easily, and sometimes it's like trying to find a needle in a haystack, but no matter what, there is someone for everyone."

She then sighed and began to rant in that same dead language.  She then got up and paced, all the while speaking something incomprehensible that no one else could understand.  But she didn't know she was speaking in it.

"To put it simply, love is a test of one's mind, body, and soul. Those who pass, recieve an ever growing bond with someone they will live happily with. Those who fail can always try again, but with each failure, the prize seems increasingly far away. Some people are lucky and can pass multiple times, but there are those that never pass," she said, "Love is just as unpredictable as any person. Sometimes, what seems to be a potentially bad encounter can turn out to be overwhelmingly good. The opposite is also true, and that is what makes love such a powerful force."

"I don't know what to think anymore..." she said quietly.  "That's exactly where everything goes crazy..."

"That just means you're over thinking it. Some of the hardest puzzles have the easiest of answers. While emotions bring up complicated situations, the emotion will always be itself. Nothing more, nothing less," she said, covering the eggs with a blanket once more and walking over to Goldenscale, "There are some things one will never understand until they experience it themselves."

_but it is the situation itself that has no seen answers...  I've tried to think about it, even not thinking about it, but nothing shows the answers..." she said, placing her hands on her head.

"What is the situation you think of," she asked, placing a wing on Goldenscale's back.

"I found out today, Ahnah has feelings for me, but had the same problem as Tieral.  She couldn't speak her feelings out, and Tieral beat it to me.  She didn't really tell me, I made her tell me because I was concerned for her.  She says she was hurting herself because she kept on thinking on how her worst regret would be never being able to have a chance.  I want to be able to help her to be happy, but I have no idea how to do that be cause she said she is always thinking about it...  I also didn't want Tieral to know in case he took things the wrong way..." she said, hiding herself inside her wings.

"I'll protect everyone as much as possible."

"It is possible to love multiple people, but remain loyal to one. Remember, love can bring people together, and help them undrstand each other, be it as a family, or otherwise. Explain the situation to Tieral, and tell him how you will handle it. Do the same with Ahnah," Mayumi said, "So long as you remain loyal to Tieral, he should understand. It may take some heavy explaining to make him understand though, or he could accept it right away."

"I'm not asking what you will do, I'm asking if you feel you're prepaired to take on such a responsibility," Kokkorok said, shaking his head.

"Then I'll do that.  But I'm going to need to speak with him in private about it.  Then I can surprise Ahnah if he agrees." she said with a smile.  "Thank you for helping me, mom." she said, hugging her.  She then left the house.  "Tieral, I need to speak to you about something..." she called out.

"Then let us get Alekai back home. We can talk there while he sleeps," Tieral said, sliding Alekai off his head and into his arm while the varanius remained asleep, "I've got to say, Maumi knows how to jam telepathy. All I could pick up was confision."

"So you were trying to eabvesdrop." she said, looking at him with an eyeridge raised.

"No, I was trying to ask you if everything was alright, but all that i got in return was a garbled mess of confusion," he said, starting to walk back to the cave, "Even if i wanted to eavesdrop, I wouldn't be able to do it through telepathy. I can only pick up what is directed at me that way."

"Huh, is that so.  I don't eavesdrop.  I either block out the sound or block it with my mind.  It is an invasion of privacy." she said with a shrug as she followed him home.
