"Who would I go to for help?  I try to protect everyone." she said.  She then crossed the barrier.

"I can't remember exactly, but so ehwere close by hers.  My family was never a part of the cave, but they sent me there occasionally to learn more magic side I knew everything they knew." he said walking over to the water's edge and using magic to make a water serpent dance in the air.

"Ask those who you know are most capable of protecting themselves. I can stay out here and scout these rogues out while you do that," he said, disappearing into the tree tops, "Last thing I want happening is for you to be captured."

"Now I remember where I've seen that crest before," Ahnah said, watching the water serpent, "Several of the ancient legends back north used the symbol to signify they hero's greatest ally. Maybe your family is older than you think."

"Maybe." Ricken said.  All of a sudden, he doubled over and winced, pain spreading from his shoulder to his chest.  "Not now..." he said.  He then bolted up.  "Anyone know where Goldenscale is!?" he yelled.

Willow ran through the barrier last minute.  "Here, Konoki wanted me to give this to you." she said, handing Goldenscale a pair of gauntlets.  "Use them when you most need them." she said before running back in.  Goldenscale smiled and put them on, before running to the rogues who were readying themselves for a fight.

"Fallow me, Tieral and Goldenscale are going to confront the rogues just outside the barrier," Ahnah said, starting to run across the the surface of the lake, leaving behind a trail of ice.

As Goldenscale came closer to the rogue camp, the warm, unicorn like, aura returned to her side. "Your soul is safe under the sign of Oberyne," it said beforecoliding with Goldenscale to become a barrier of energy around her soul.

'No wonder they are calling me...' Ricken thought as he quickly followed Ahnah.

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath before running forward, greeting the volley of arrows that had come to greet her.  She dodged many of them, using her gauntlets to block most of them.  She then brought own her own attack, she had brought up pointed rocks from the ground, spearing a few, but others dodged the attack by jumping into the air.  They landed around her and she began to take them all on at once.

"You might want to stand back so you're not confused as one of them," Ahnah said, stopping at the edge of the barrier, "Tieral doesn't know about you yet, and he's about to loose control."

"Goldenscale, please don't think any less of me for this,"Tieral said, ignoring the arrow that hit him as he slowlypressed through the rogue ranks. As he made his way forward, his skin started taking on a darker tone, and his eyes started turning pure black. His horns and claws grew longer and sharper with every step he took. Letting out a feral roar, Tieral began ripping into any rogue that he could see.

Goldenscale was busy doing the same thing, only taking on a whole group at a time.  Their archers were more worried about Goldenscale, so they shot at her.  A few shot at Tieral, trying to stop him.  Knowing that Tieral would ripnthrough them faster than an arrow, they all flocked over to Goldenscale.  Go,denscale couldn't take on any more, so she though of a cannon type weapon, remembering Willow's words of wisdom.  Immediately, the gauntlets turned into her desired weapons.  She smiled.  "Wonderful.  Now I can destroy you all faster." she said, firing off the cannon several times, lessening the rogues around her.  But after a time, the shots stopped, the ammo had run out.  She then turned them into dual blades and began to destroy them at a slower pace.

With each rogue he took down, Tieral grew stronger, his form feeding off the dark energy released from each kill. After a ferw minutes, he came face to face with Goldenscale, the only thing remaining the same about him being his aura.

Goldenscale backed away, her ears down.  "Tieral...  It's me.  The enemy is behind you..." she said, running behind him to take out one of the few remaining rogues.  "Enough of this, child.  I'm going to end this." the purple dragoness said, launching an arrow at Tieral.  Goldenscale went for the arrow and grabbed it, but was hit in the side with another.  What she wasn't aware of was another was shot directly after the first.  The one that hit her side dug in deep and she gasped for a second, staggering.  She soon recovered and went after her, but nshe never chilly recovered from the hit.  She dared not take the arrow from her side just yet just in case the arrows were barbed.  If they were, they would go in deeper with each pull.  She then went over to the dragoness and began to fight her.  "Tieral...get the...remaining rogues..." she panted as she fought.  As before, they were evenly matched, but Goldenscale fought with speed to keep the dragoness from attacking Tieral.

Tieral only nodded before charging after the remaining rogues, using his extended claws to dig deep into. Upon taking down the last rogue, bolts of purple electricity jumped from  each arrow that stuck fromhis body to each roogue he passed, draining them of all remaining stored of dark energy.

Thinking about the cannons again, she shot the dragoness with the last bit of ammo.  She hissed and disappeared.  She collapsed to the ground, the adrenaline wearing off.  She had only a few seconds to observe an arrow to see if it was barbed.  "Crap...they...are..." she said as she fell unconscious.

Picking Goldenscale up, Tieral brought her back to the barrier where Ahnah and Ricken stood waiting. Setting her on the ground, he slid through, being stopped by the barrier itself.

Willow appeared.  "Tieral, why can you not go through?  Here, I'll open it for you." she said.  "Ahnah, I suggest taking Goldenscale to Mayumi to see if she could get that barbed arrow out of her side." she said before getting ready to open the barrier for Tieral.  "My dear Storm.  Goldenscale and Tieral both destroyed what remained of the rogue army and their leader." Willow said to her.  "Her name was Shade..." Ricken said quietly.  He knew more about Shade than many of the rogues.  She scared him, but seeing her disappear, he was relieved.

"Don't let me in, I'll only hurt someone," Tieral said, his voice sounding far off in everyone's heads, "I must release the enrgy that has built up where no one will get hurt. If I return to the cave now, I'll only loose control again." Standing up, he ran off into the trees that ramined outside the barrier.

"OK, we just need to get her to Mayumi," Ahnah said, picking Goldenscale up, and tapping Ricken's shoulder for him to fallow.
