"Even with the brace, putting weight on it may cause it to heal improperly. Last thing we want is to be back at step one," Mayumi said as they neared a courthouse like building, "Here we are. They haven't got set up yet, the suggestion box is still out. Better to be here early I guess."

"I guess you're right." she said.  She blinked at seeing such an official-looking building.  "Wow..."

"Impresive isn't it? We may be safe from humans here, but most of the architecture here was built using blueprints humans made. The plans had to be scaled up and slightly modified, but the base design is still there," Mayumi said watching as one of the elders picked up the box setting by the front door and taking it back inside, "It's kind of hard to think that a race as dangerous as the humans could design such a piece of functional art."

"They seem good at that..." she said as she started to walk inside.

"Good to see you decided to join the meeting. WE're not quite ready to start yet, but feel free to look around," the elder that took the box in said as he sorted out slips of paper, "Just to let youknow, we don't normaly let more than one person in front of the council at once, but seeing the condition of your leg, we'll allow you one person for support. If you've already decided who that'll be, tell me so that I can tell the rest of the elders."

"Mayumi..." she said quietly.

"We'll lift out suspicions of her  for the night then," the elder said placing each stack of paper into its own tray, "Once we start, you're welcome to watch the issues that come before your turn. We have a sequence we do things to keep it all simple, so it would be a good idea to it figure out. I would explain it to you, but I've got to get the results to the rest of the elders." Giving a bow, the elder picked up the final stack of papers and left, going through a door that said, "Council Members Only."

Goldenscale blinked.  "I'll catch on... hopefully..." she said.

"It'l be easy to figure out.  It's kind of turned based. They usually start by asking your name and reason for being there, then after you answer that they'll asked questions and information pertaining to the issue at hand," Mayumi said stepping back a little to check Goldenscale's brace, "They do encourage every one to ask questions if something is unclear. Your session will probably be more straight to the point than the others due to the simplicity and nature of the issue."

"What's the issue?" she said.

"That's just their term for what is being brought to consideration. Your's is whether or not you'll join the council, and what you'd like to recieve to make you and them even if you've decided on that," Mayumi said giving the brace's binds a light tug to tighten them some, "If they have anything else to discuss, they'll say somthing."

"What do you mean, me and them getting even?  I didn't do anything to them, and they said they owed me.  That doesn't make sense..." she said, now confused.

"They have people watching just about every inch of the cave. My only guess is that your talk with the twins has something to do with it," Mayumi said looking up to Goldenscale while she adjusted the leg brace, "Word trvels fast around here. It doesn't hurt that the twins had been causing trouble for quite some time, and no one has been able to get through to them to make them stop."

"Yet I did...  I must be breaking new ground." she said with a smile.

"That you did. The effects were almost instant too. Usuall, I have a few hatchling sent in to get minor medical attention because the twins had done something to them, but I haven't had any come in since you talked to them," Mayumi said with a smile, "It felt a little wierd to be able to meditate the whole afternoon, but if that means that at least one of them has stopped bullying then I can get used to it."
