"I don't care as long as they are safe and sound." Frost says laying around the nest.

"Maybe your new position will alow you to be home rather than traveling off somewhere," she says, laying her head on Frost's back, "We'll tell Goldenscale about it tomarow. For now, it's getting late."

Frost smiles. "She'll be shocked once she learns it."

"I bet she will be surprised over both," she yawns, "you know, it's times like this that I wonder how my little brother and sister are doing. They had just left home when we were brought here to this world."

"I didn't know you had siblings." Frost said looking at Mayumi.

"We were seven years apart. I had chosen to stick around my parents to learn more about alchemy from my mother. Rii'Den, my brother, and Falinx, my sister, were twins, and had come of age to leave home the day before we were brought here," Mayumi said, turning her head to face Frost, "It was probably for the best though. Had Kor and I not been brought here, we would have been running a clan big enough to cover this entire island. I would not have been able to  handle that kind of responcibility."

"N that means we wouldn't have found each other." Frost says looking deep into mayumis eyes.

"That is also true. Honestly, I'm indifferent on being brought here. If I had stayed on Valenth, I would be killed, but I would have lived my last day with Kor. Being brought here, I lost Kor, but I have found happyness again," Mayumi said, her eyes starting to glow as images of her past danced across their surfaces, "Either way, I'll be leaving this life happy in the end."

"Are you feeling OK?" Frost asks in a worried voice.

"Yes, I'm OK. You're probably seeing the sight I inherited from my father. You can see my past, and I can see yours just by looking into each other's eyes," she said, blinking, "It's nothing to worry about unless you have something dire to hide."

"Why do I need to hide something? You know of the demon." He says looking at her.

"You have nothing to worry about then. Just like I have nothing to hide from you," she said, her eyes glowing brighter as the images turn to that of war, "We've both lost people very close to us. I don't plan on loosing you or our children."
