Taking the coin, the guards stepped aside. Behind the guards was a large stone building with very few decorations.

IWithout any decorations, the building had an intimidating look to it, but it did little to scare Goldenscale.  She then went into the building, Moonlight trailing behind her.

Frost gets out of the councils grasp and heads to go see mayumi back at home.

Sitting at a desk in the center of the first room was a flarion with deep, clood red feathers and scales. He only looked up briefly before looking back down to his work. "State your business, and please make it quick. I have a  lot of work to do," he said, working on a seemingly endless stack of papers.

"Welcome home dear. What was it that the council wanted," Mayumi asked, curled around the nest she had made the previous day.

"I came here in hopes that I could learn a bit about Vaelnth and it's inhabitants.  I also heard from one of the security enforcers that you have been looking for Mayumi." she said confidently.

"Yes, well I've just about given up on finding her. It's been thirty seven years since she disappeared, and there's been no sign of her since," Chiei said, laying down the papers he was working on and looking up to Goldenscale, "What news do you bring, herold of a different world?"

"She lives up on my world, and is in good health.  I don't think she could head back because she couldn't find her way, so she has sort of made a new life for herself.  I wouldn't have known about her had she not found me.  I am her adopted daughter." she said.

"Must have been some trip getting here then. It's good to here she's OK after all these years though," he said, the news seeming to take years off his features, "If Mayumi is OK, then I can only assume Kor is as well."

"Kor has had a different fate.  He is, unfortunately, no longer with her.  He has gone to the Great Rest..." she said sadly.

"Then that leave Falinx to take the throne. No matter, she's a kind spirit," he said, looking down, "I'll need to prepare a ceremony for Kor's death, and Falinx's coronation. Thank you for at least deliviering this news in its base form. Padding the truth always makes it harder to take."

"I find it hard enough to tell it straight, but easier than visioning the fact.  It is always hard learning of someone's death no matter what..." she said quietly.  

"Death is never an easy subject to talk about. Just be happy you didn't have to see him die," he said, "Now back to a lighter subject, how's Mayumi handling carving out a new life?"

"I don't know how her years with Kor were,  but I know that after he died, her daughter Chiei was killed by a litch by the name of Archen and was never let to rest in peace.  She then spent most of her time sulking around the cave where most of the dragons resided.  She had become the alchemist there.  I did help her daughter's soul find peace, and only after did Mayumi as well.  Honestly, I only know what Mayumi or others have told me.  I didn't live as her daughter nor a resident of the cave until recently.  I had...other...things to take care of.  I could try and bring Mayumi sometime when she isn't busy with her job or the eggs..." she said with a smile.

"Eggs? I wish her the best of luck raising them then. Who's he new mate, if you don't mind me asking," he said, sitting back down.

"His name is Frost.  He is a wonderful dad.  He was also one of the first dragons I met when I went to the cave.  He also helped me to learn to speak.  I was sort of mute before...  But anyways, both are happy." she said with a smile.
