"There is always a reason for everything." she said quietly.

"I know this. I also want to give that crystal as one last gift," she said, lowering her wings, "I will be bound to one of the eggs tonight, and I wouldn't have enough time then to give it to you."

"At least I know where you will be now, Mi'Vier." she said.

"I'm just glad I could help one last time," she said, "I've proved well enough that a litch doesn't have to be evil. They're people just like everyone else, and can make the right decision if they choose."

"You're a litch?" she asked.  No matter, she still cared for Mi'Vier all the same.  "Thank you, for helping me all those times..." she said quietly, tears starting to well up in her eyes.  She never liked seeing g a loved one leave, it always made things hard for her.

"A litch is any being that binds themselves so that they can live beyond death. I bound myself to that crystal so that I could always be there for Mayumi in this world. Most litches would use other complete souls to recharge the object they're bound to. I only used energy from those who willingly gave their soul, and I would then only use what energy they gave, and left the soul to pass on freely. I would never allow myself to bind another soul. I've managed to survive to the limit imposed by nature regardless," she said, stepping back through Goldenscale's wings, "I'm glad I could help, but I must go now so that I can prepare for a new life."

Frost ice melts away. Frost sits beside Mayumi and pulls out a ball and three cups.

"Practice for the festival," Tieral asked, looking at the cups and ball, "Good idea since the rest of the council is kicking into high gear to get everything prepared in time."

"A simple guessing game? In the setting of a festival, they can be down right hard with all the distractions," Mossed said, "If you want, I can supply you with some prizes."

"Then, I guess, I'll see you at the hatching.  If I can." she said.

"With any luck, I will retain my connection to nature. I'll be able to tell you're there," she said, gathering into a glowing red sphere, "If not, I'll see you when you return. At least you'll be here to see the eggs. Good luck and take care of yourself." When she finished talking, she starded fading as she headed for Frost's cave.

"You too." she said quietly.  She quickly ran to her flower, burying the crystal next to it.  She then curled around it and closed her eyes, soon falling asleep.

"I thought she'd be here," Talia said quietly to herself when she found Goldenscale. Turning around, she sat at the entrance to the area, watching for anything that might come.

Goldenscale lost herself within the auras of the woods, letting the willow show her the wonders of nature as she normally did.

"well that was what i was planning on doing except i didn't know what the prizes could be," He does it and when he was done he let the little ones choose one.

"Back home, we get all sorts of toys and such that we can never fully get rid of. I could also make some," he said, watching as Alekai picked the cup on the far right, "It might not be a good idea to show my face here, but I can still do my part in making the community a happier place."
