"What has she come down with? Mayumi should be able to come up with something to cure it," he said, " In any case, Goldenscale  is excused from the meeting till she's recovered. What of her enforcers?"

"They are with her as we speak. I'm off to get some ingredients," he leaves and gets the box from under the bed. It was heavy and there was the sound of clanging glass. He heads back to mayumi and golden scale.

"How'd they take the news," Mayumi asked as she keept watch over Goldenscale.

"They were accepting of it." Frost walks over and touches goldenscales head.

Goldenscale softly purrs for a second then stops.  A spirit then enters the cave, a tall female human with waist length brown hair that has leaves in it.  She wears a brown dress and has bright green eyes.  In her hands is a green stone.  She then walks over towards everyone.

"That's good to hear. We wont be having any trouble out of them then," she said, taking the box and seting up what looked like an alchemy lab with the contence, "All I need is the ingredients and we'll have more of the antidote."

Just behind Goldenscale from Frost's point of view, a small golden figure sat trying to make its presence as small as it could.

"Excuse me, but are you Mayumi and Frost." she asked in an airy and gentle voice.  She then walks over to Goldenscale and began to gentle smooth her mane.

"Yes, and I assume you are a spirit of the forest," Mayumi said as she looked up to greet the new presense.

"Yes.  I have brought something that might be of help in getting rid of the Fogman." she said, holding out a green stone in her hand.  "This is a fairy egg.  It is a stone found inside of agate that is used to hold in spirits.  The Fogman has been inside of one before, so you can seal him inside."

"I see, I'll have to hand this to my mother when she returns from searching for him. She would know the rituals for sealing him in," she said taking the stone and carefully placing it in her bag, "Right now, I need to focus on getting Goldenscale and Tieral well once more."

She frowned.  "I am sorry I didn't do anything to help her.  She relies on herself to do a lot, but we can prevent such things as well.  So we should have helped her." she said.

"Don't blame yourself. A synthetic poison would have been extreamly hard to cure for anyone without the anitdote anyways," she said, "I'm just glad Tieral resisted the Fogman's forces as long as he did. Who know what he would have done to Goldenscale."

"Every spirit want the power she can summon.  Scratch the idea that it was the love between an enforcer and a council member as your council thinks.  It was the power one of them might have summoned.  And anyways, it was I that had given her the chance to live again after all." she said, hoping they would realize exactly which spirit she was.

"Thank you for giving her a second chance at life," she said, making the connection between the spirit and the flower, "It will always be a mystery to me why most everyone wants more power. I see power like most human religions view money. It corrupts those who seek it, without fail. Those who have it are those who have either gained it through honest work or taken it from others."

"I have been around for centuries, watching humans walk by, always more modern than the last time.  I am the oldest one in the forest and it seems like there is always some evil that lurks around every branch and every corner." she said with a sigh.
