"How did you know these were my favorite," she asked taking the flowers, "They may be poisoness, but that's only when they're ingested. They're a prime example of how beauty can hide danger." "I only see them on occasion. Sometimes I can't see them at all, and other times I see them everywhere," she said turning to Goldenscale.

"I saw your mother and asked her." He said laying down his head still throbbing.

"You feeling alright dear," she asked, "You look a little rough. Don't tell me fell into these things."

"No I ran into a stump," he says lowly laying on the bed.

"That must have hurt," she said placing the flowers in a notch in the log, "I guess that just shows that even adults can make simple mistakes."

Goldenscale had run back to the entrance of the cave, seeing the bogey-beast peek around its corner.  She then pounced on it, not aware of the creature that approached silently.  She then picked him up.  The next thing she knew, her nose and mouth were covered by something sweet smelling and she fell unconscious to the ground.  The creature picked her up and the went hack to it's lair.

Seeing Goldenscale being dragged off, Tieral took hold of her and started pulling her back to the cave, letting loose a psionic blast at whatever was holding onto Goldenscale.

The creature looked at Tieral with red eyes that seemed to be floating in a black void.  With a glow of his eyes, he used a shock of energy that would make him unconscious.

"Why do they always try the same thing again and again," Tieral asked himself as he closed his mind to the blast and pulling back a litt harder before setting the creature a blaze.

The creature deflected it and made a think, nausiating fog roll in.  Bogey-beasts then came in and began to attack Tieral.  He then began to pull Goldenscale with unknown strength.

"I will not fail my charge," he said biting into the neck of the one holding Goldenscale, ignoring the ones attacking him, "I will not let harm come to her."

"You will regret it." a metallic voice hissed.  Tieral had bitten only through a foul tasting fog.  It then sank poisonous fangs into Tieral's shoulder.  "She will be mine."  The fog began to thicken as the minutes rolled by.

"Not if I can help it," Mayumi said as she set the fog alight with a spark of white fire and tossing some of the creatures from Tieral, "You will not have my daughter. Not today, nor any day."

The creature narrowed it's eyes and brought in more fog.  But as he did that, he secretly jabbed a syringe needle in Goldenscale's neck, injecting a slow reacting poison only he had a cure for.  He destroyed the syringe and let go of Goldenscale.  "If I can't have herr , then no one will." it hissed quietly before disappearing.

"I do not use anitivenoms or antidotes. I use my gifts," she said seeing the broken syringe. Placing a claw over the white crystal, she began channeling the forces it held, casing the poison reverse its path. "There, time is still with me," she said quietly, watching as the poison poured from the injection sight.
