"it's ok Goldenscale......" Frost raises up, "they set me up."

"W-What do you mean they set you up?" she said with surprise.  Oooh, if there were more coming, she was going to make sure none got even close to Frost.  Going back on her vow upset her, but she was never going to do that again.

"Goldenscale, if you'd like to help, bring Frost into the back room. I'll be in there to tend to his wounds once I get everything ready," Mayumi said looking towards the door, "The council has gone too far. That elder doesn't fool me, he had something to do with this attack."

"I swear upon the stars, if this happens again, they won't even get past the front door." she said angrily.  She will be ready next time.  Though Goldenscale might have looked weak, she was somehwat strong.  Using her magic and her strength, she managed to pick up Frost and limped to the back room.  She then set him gently on the ground.  "If you excuse me, I'm going to go and do something." she said.  Though she was angry, she could go and spy on them later, she had something better to go look for.

"Try not to display anything the council could deem useful. You could end up like me and Frost, stuck under their control. They've proven they will do just about anything to keep us that way," Mayumi said walking into the room with a needle and medical thread, "Whatever you do, be careful."

"Goldenscale stay here for now ok?" Frost asks when he sees the needle he freezesup,"are you going to use... that on me?"

"It's the only way to make sure your tail heals. I'm sorry to say, but it will hurt and it will stay that way for a while," Mayumi said dipping the needle into a yellow bottle, "The most I can do to dull the pain is use this paralytic agent."

"Sigh i guess i have no choice," he gits his teeth as she began.

"My ancestor's magic has taken care of the refusing of the bone, making it heal. We just need to close up the skin to prevent infections," Mayumi said after finishing the stitching the skin back together, "It may be a while before you can feal anything in that section of your tail. Concidering the council's track record, I would suggest either finding a place to hide here inside the cave of or find a way to sneak out undetected."

"Even if they do see me use my magic, I will never let myself be bent to their wills.  I use my magic to help others in need, as I was prepared to do to protect you.  I am no one's puppet." she said with a frown, bowing her head.  She continued to sit on the ground to respect Frost's wish, but she was going to go out later that night to finish what she had to do.

"They'll find something you need that they have. They wont force you into anything. Rather, they let you dig your own hole," Mayumi said turning to Goldenscale, "So long as I stay here in this shop, I'm in debt to them. My insecurity and fear keep me here."

"yours is easier than mine.........." Frost stares up at the ceiling. "in the fact that i can't remember it. It's been so long."

"I will never forget why I'm here, but I'll save that for later," Mayumi said taking a jar from a shelf and spreading some of the contents onto the stitching on Frost's tail, "I sometimes wish I could forget, but I will not allow myself that."

Details: Flare was abandoned as a newborn and has had to fend for herself all her life, She now lives in a forest a few miles away from a human vilage, she also enjoys taking risks so long as she doesn't endanger anyone and she has a bit of a temper when her family or friends are insulted, She will do anything she can to protect her territory from humans even if it means risking her own life.

"What could they have that I would want?  And even if they had it, I would find my own way of getting it.  They do not need a dragon that can use powers like mine.  I don't even want to know what they would use them for..." she said.  At times she was stubborn, but most of the time it was to do good.  But she had somehow found a family here, and that was the only thing she wanted.
