*Who is your mother and father?* the willow asked, testing the varanius of his knowledge.

*Goldenscale is my mother, but I'm not sure who my father would be,* he saidpressing against Goldenscale.

*I think you've met Tieral already.  Goldenscale is with Tieral, so he would be your father.* she said.  Goldenscale hugged Alekai, picking him up and cradling him like a newborn hatchling.

Alekai's purring picked up when Goldenscale cradled him. "Yuo and Dad are all i need," he said seeing Tieral walk around into his field of view.

""What would Mom think of me now," Tieral asked himself as he nuzzeled Alekai.

"I don't know, Tieral..." she said.  *If anyone needs my help, or I need to watch over Alekai, don't be afraid to give me a call.* the willow said, her bark freaking as though she was chuckling.  "I need to go and check to see if anything is going on in the council, but I don't think anyone would be ready to see you, Alekai.  I also need to start with my Spring Festival assignment and check the progress of my home.  Mother Willow, could you watch Alekai?" she asked.  Now that she was feeling better,she had a lot she need to get done.

"Why can't I come with you," Alekai asked looking up to Goldenscale.

"It's for all of our safety. They might get the wrong idea should they see you at this time," Tieral said , "It would be better for all of us if you stayed here with the willow while we take care us business in the cave."

"Maybe later on you can join me with m py work, but not now, alright, my little one?" she asked, setting the varanius in the branches.

"OK," he saidqietly as his crystal faded a little.

"I'll meet you at the snow barrier. i need to ask Metraz a few things," Tieral said before kissing Goldenscale then heading towards the cave.

  Goldenscale blushed from the kiss, but she smiled nonetheless.  "I'll be back soon, Alekai." she said, putting her muzzle up to Alekai's then leaving again.  She first went to the council house to check and see if anything was going on.

Inside the council house, all the council members were sorting through papers placing them into stack labeled "fix" and "leave be."

"Good afternoon Goldenscale. We were just getting started on findong all the things that need to be fixed. We're also clearing out the records. Any ruling that's more than twenty years old will be thrown out since it no longer effects us," one of the council members said as he read through a paper, "Twenty years worth of records is more than enough to have good references of past events. Any farther back, and we'll be getting into rules and rulings that have no standing in today's world. If you want to help sorting them out, just sit down at a stack and start reading."

Holding scale sat down and began to read, though she wouldn't be much help because she had been there only a week.  But she tried the best she could.

"Read the date first, then the paper, it save you time in the long run since most of the papers are too old," he said tossing a stack of papers into a pit where they were burned, "If you come across a rule or ruling from within the past twenty years that you don't agree with, place it in the 'fix' box. Anything else will be left alone."

(Going to bed.)

Goldenscale did what she was told.  She didn't encounter any rules she didn't agree with yet so she didn't worry about it much.

A few hours later, a few of the council members got up and left. "Well, it's about time we start getting prepaired for the festival. We only have about a week to get ready," one said.

"Alright." she said, getting up as well and walking outside.  She then began to walk around, asked everyone what they expected from the festival and writing of down.
