Goldenscale purred

Taking Tieral by surprise, Mayumi used a wing to bring him closer. "So long as you two are happy together, I don't see any problem with you two being together," she said as she stared into Tierals eyes while her started to glow brighter, "However, should he ever hurt you, please tell me. I will make sure never does again."

"He won't, I know he won't." she said, putting a wing around him as well.

"That's for sure. He's placed his loyalty in you alone, and no one else, not even the othe council members," she said releasing Tieral from her stare as he suddenly became tired, "Don't worry about him becoming tired. It's just a side effect of my stare. I saw his entire history, and he saw mine. I'm already tired, so I wont be feeling the effects as much as him."

"Didn't you do that to me and I didn't get tired?" she asked.  She couldn't remember.

"No, I haven't used this on you yet," she said shaking her head, "You would know a lot more about me if I did. The stare doesn't make you tired, it's what it allows you to see and experience that does. In exchange for seeing and half living the target's history, they get the same from the used. I can use it on you if you wish."

"Huh, I thought you did at one point...  Hmm.  I don't know.  I guess you could use it." she said indecisively.

"Now as a quick warnning, I can't cancel out of it till we've both seen everything, and I have had cases where skill translated over as well," she said using the wing she used to bring Tieral closer to guid him to the floor where he fell asleep, "You may learn some magic and other skills exclusive to Valenth. Some of them are very dangerouse."

"I thought I already knew enough dangerous tricks...  But OK.  I might be befuddle for a while afterwards, though..." she said with an embarrassed laugh.

"OK, just look into my eyes," she said as her eyes began to glow again, "Don't resist once it starts. That's only make it take longer. Remember, nothing can hurt you, even if you feel the pain it is only your body interpreting the information given to it."

Goldenscale did just that, her body relaxed as though she was meditating.

Starting off at the very moment of hatching, visions started forming and played out every moment of Mayumi's past. Every feeling and moment and emotion could be felt and seen. What appeared to be a large scale war between dragons on an ufamiliar world dominated the first portion of the images, then moved on to more familiar scenery of the forests near the tower Archen had inhabited. After what seemed like years, the images faded as the memories reached pesent day.

"I hope you got something worth your time out of this," she said once Goldenscale's vision returned to normal, "This will give us a better understanding of each other."

Goldenscale blinked, not really feeling tired, but befuddled more than anything.  "I'm guessing you saw my memories."  She gasped.  "What were the memories of my first days!" she asked.  She thought she might be able to figure out more about herself.

"Very obscured though I think there were two figures that disappeared before the memories could focus. They seemed rather ethereal. Almost like they were watching over your egg till you hatched before passing. I couldn't realy make out who they were," she said shaking her head to get her mind back in line then noticing Goldenscale wasn't tired, "You may be one those people that feel hunger of heavy emotions instead of becoming tired. Your mind works in such a unique way it's hard to tell."

"See, I'm so odd, no one can figure out what's wrong with me." she said, putting her head down, but was smiling slightly.  She shook her head.  "What do you mean by feel hunger of heavy emotions?" she asked.
