"The only energy I used was to empower Frost. Mostly, I only need to take it easy for the next few days so my life force can recover," she said starting a normal fire near them, "My vital fire draws on the energy in my soul rather that from my body, and it takes a lot out of me when I loose control."

"It probably doe since your 'vital fire' is a lot different from normal fire..." she said quietly.  What was befuddling her was that most dragons, well she thought, would be able t hold power up to their limit and even then it would be hard for them to control.  Yet she was able yo raise that power to higher levels and be able to control it.  But now she went over it and was able to control it, but she became sick afterwards.  This struck her as odd.  'There is something wrong with me...' she thought before falling into a fitful sleep.

"Not wrong, just different," she said falling asleep beside Goldenscale.

A few hours later, Goldenscale noticed her body temperature was higher than usual.  Not wanting to lower it with her magic until she could gather enough energy, she blindfolded herself, carefully moved to not wake Mayumi and Frost, and walked into the forest in search of a stream.  She eventually found one and collapsed in it, her nose the only thing visible above the water.  She then fell back into her fitful sleep.

Watching Goldenscale, Tieral sat near the stream so that he could grab her should she dip below the surface.

Goldenscale yawned and brought her head underwater.  Without knowing it, her body changed to her water serpent.  Her seaweed like tail flicked the water's surface, but then she became still again.  She took a deep breath and continued to sleep.

In a moment of panic, Tieral ran to the edge of the stream before realizing Goldenscale had transformed. Stepping back from the stream, he sat back down, and eventually fell asleep.

Goldenscale slept, even when the sun began to rise that morning.  She still felt terrible, but the cool water did make her feel more comfortable.

"You alright Goldenscale," Tieral asked telepathically once he woke and started stretching, "Your aura feels as though you overexerted yourself well beyond natural limits."

Goldenscale roused herself and brought her head out of the water weakly, her eyes still closed as to keep her mind from spinning like it did the say before.  "Yesterday I did.  Made my power limits go over the limit of my body, and now I feel just terrible.  But oddly enough, I was able to control all that extra power..." she said before putting her head back under the water.

"Some people can control that much much power, but there is always some sort of drawback. Your body is just trying to balance out itself after having so much energy pass through it," he said walking up to the stream's edge, "It's sort of like what happens when you eat way too much, except much rougher on the body."

'No kidding...' she replied miserably.  She sighed under the water.

"You just need to rest, and try not to exerte any more than you have. Considering how your aura feels, it may be a while before you feel well again," he said before stepping away, "I'll find you something light for breakfast. A little food might make you feel better."

(I'm not going to be on today until about 5-6 tonight American time.  I'll try to post until I leave.)

"I don't know anymore..." she said quietly.
