What's the policy on updating the artwork of a skin? Is it different for public vs. private skins (I apologize if this question has already been asked)?

Artwork can be updated by deleting the skin and uploading the new version. This is possible when the skin doesn't have any uses. The skin which is already in use can't be updated. There only difference between public and private skin is availability for other players, everything else works the same.

Nimarkiva, 2 of your skins are alterations of the official skins. The third one is filled with solid color and pixelated. Please check the skin submission rules and the common mistakes.

Really? I thought that a different form of dragon would be acceptable.....I used the dragon base, it still has the dragon heads and body, is still of the dragon species.....there is a skeleton dragon after all, which doesn't really look like the dragon design and is not in fact a dragon because it is a pile of bones. Define dragon for me. What parts need to be included for it to be a dragon? At what point during the process should I smother my creativity?

I apologize, but I don't think my skin is that unreasonable. Heck, it even has a reasonable explanation for being different. And it is better done than most of the skins sitting around with zero uses.

Darquesse, the creature skins should have the same amount of limbs, heads and other body parts with the site versions of pets, no matter if you're using the official base or creating a skin from scratch. If we had hydras among pets, it would be accepted as hydra, but right now we don't have them. The site dragon is a reptilian with 1 head, 2 wings, 4 legs and 1 tail. Everything else can be altered.

We do not tolerate rudeness here. You could spent a bit of your time and review this thread to know the reasons why skeleton and other heavy modifications aren't allowed - this would close the way for new species, leaving the game forever with the initial 6 ones.

Chaos, the only concern is pixelated edges on the custom elements. Please try to add some anti-aliasing there.

Just out of curiosity, what's the policy on, say, Elemental custom skins? Take the Roc, for example. I would guess that Fire is out, because of the whole possible Phoenix thing, but what about lightning? Make it a thunderbird? Or ice? Or wind?

Skyeacreon, Elemental custom skins are allowed. If to mention the lightning, it's the special ability of our Rocs, they are already thunderbirds in this game :) It won't be another species.

Hello there! I have a few quick questions, if you'd be so kind as to answer them. : )

1) Skyeacreon asked earlier what the policy of updating skins was. My question is related, but I was wondering if it would be possible to have one skin based of a real life creature, let's say "Morning Dove" that was used a few times be various people, but now you want to upload a updated version. Would it be acceptable to submit a skin called "Morning Dove 2" or "Morning Dove Update"?

2) This one is related to the one above. Say you want a skin that looks like... Well, let's go with a Morning Dove again. So you're looking for a Morning Dove skin, and you find one, but you personally do NOT like it one bit, so you make your own. Would you be able to submit that skin as a “Morning Dove Alternate”, “Morning Dove Darker Markings”, or “Morning Dove Yellow Foot Color”?

(By the way, to all those reading, I'm using Morning Dove as an example because as far as I know there isn't a morning dove skin. All of the skins I've seen have been amazing, and I don't mean to imply anything negative about any of them!)

3) If you have the time, could you please list the necessities of each species? I believe I get the basics -Dragons need wings, leg/arms (4), head, etc- but I want to try making my own, and I'd rather not spend too much time on something that will defiantly get rejected.

Sorry if I wasted your time by asking silly questions or ones that have been answered elsewhere. I'm still learning to navigate the site.
