Snowflake walked through the forest following the strange ringing sound. It led her to a cave where a large purple rock was. It appeared to be making the ringing noise, and Snowflake sat down near it. She felt she must be silent in respect for this strange, ringing rock.

She slowly reached out her paw and touched it. A sense of relaxation overtook her and suddenly a snowy clearing appeared infront of her. Two groups of wolves stood in it, hackles raised, teeth bared.

"You were told never to return Alwala! Why have you?" The large gray wolf glared icily and snarled the words.

"I havn't returned for forgivness Oklyra, I have come to take care of you." She smiled, but it was a cold smile. She took a step forward challenging Oklyra.

"H-how dare you! I shall not let you kill my pack. Never!" The gray wolf snarled and the others wolves gathered around him, closing ranks. "What are we going to do Oklyra?" Asked his Strong Paws. Oklyra looked at the small black wolf and raised his voice, just slghtly. "We will take care of them first!"

"Oh Oklyra, you were always so... Inferior. You really think you're measly little pack here" she nodded her head at the other group of wolves "can take on my strong, healthy pack? We had prey during the Fall, and now partway into the Winter." Alwala paused and let her gaze travel across the wolves. "Any who wish to join me  have one last chance. Don't waste it."

"No! Pack, don't listen to her! Its l-lies!" He looked at his pack franitcly. Two wolves stepped foward. "We will join your pack Alwala." Murmured one.

"Very good. Join ranks! Pack, attack!" She howled and the wolves surged foward overtaking the other pack...

Snowflake looked at the stone, shocked at what she had just seen. Were Alwala's wolves her ansestors? She rose to her paws and began to pad back to camp. She would call this stone the Stone of Visions. Back at camp she just caught Snowblind's sentance and slowly slipped back into her den, her ears perked.

Snowblind thinks of whether to stay or go. He is split between staying with the group and leaving like he always did to protect.

In the end i'm only human for that i regret nothing.

Snowflake had finally drifted into sleep after listening to Snowblind and was caught up in a continued dream of what she had seen at The Stone of Visions.

"Alwala?" A redish wolf poked its head into her den.

"Yes? What is it Eliway?" Alwala stood and walked towards the other wolf.

"Yulila is getting worse. I'm afraid we might lose her." The wolf dipped his head in sorrow.

"What? No! You must try everything!" Alwala raced from her den and over to the Healer's den. "Yulila? Are you ok?" She whispered quietly and padded up to her mother's nest.

"Alwala? Is that you?" Her breath was ragged and her voice hoarse.

"Yes, its me mother! Please don't leave us." She pressed her nose into her mother's fur in sorrow.

"I have faith in you. I know you will lead the pack fine with out me. Carry on with your life Alwala, keep the pack alive. I will always be with you."

"B-but mother..." She trailed off as she watched her. "Are you sure you have faith in me mother?"

"Plenty Alwala, plenty." And with that she took her last breath and lay still.

Alwala looked down at her mother "M-mother...? No..." She howled mournfully into the sky.

Other wolves began to pad into the den at the sound of the howl.

"Mother..."

Snowflake woke up and shook her head to clear it. Why was she suddenly having these visions?

"No." Rose said after a few moments "You shouldn't go." Then with a small smile she padded back to her den and fell asleep.

Spear thenj closed his eyes thinking that what he had heard had just been some sort of cray dream.

Snowflake sat and watched. Maybe he'd come back? Or maybe he was just going out for some night hunting...

In the woods, Snowblind hunts for anything to do. He catches rabbits and groundhogs. He then finds a picular snake. He doesn't attack it right away and circled it. pacing himself so not to go and get stricken.

In the end i'm only human for that i regret nothing.

(The next morning)

Shatter woke slowly and stretched in the sunlight outside of her den. Then looking around she padded over to the fresh-kill pile and grabbed a plump rabbit.

Snowflake had padded out of camp at dawn and was now heading deep into the forest to the Stone of Visions. She decided she'd hunt a bit on the way back. In the cave she touched her paw to the stone and was sent into another vision.

Alwala padded across the soft grass the smell of rabbit filling her nose. She eagerly followed it and soon came apon  a burrow. She sat and waited until finally the rabbit darted from the hole. She pounced and killed it swiftly. "Thank you for this prey." She dipped her head.

"Who are you?! What are you doing here?" A snarl came from behind her.

Alwala flipped around and glared at who spoke, a small black and white wolf. "This is my terrirtory."

The other wolf seemed to shrink back and cower. "Alwala... I-I... I didn't realize I had crossed the border! P-please forgive me."

Alwala reconized the wolf, Jiloya from Oklyra's pack. "Aaahh, a stray. How's the measly little pack coming? Weakly I suppose. You never had much prey." She sneered.

"I can't s-say Alwala. I've been forbidden too."

Alwala snarled and leapt forward pinning the wolf to the ground. "You have three choices. Tell me and leave to go back to your weak little pack, join mine, or never leave this spot, if you know what I mean."

"I'll tell you, just please, please let me go afterwards! We aren't doing well, a few of our wolves are sick. Now, let me go...?"

"Very well Jiloya. Go, never return!" She growled after her and she raced into the forest.

Snowflake removed her paw and padded from the cave, into the morning light. The brush rustled and she sprang forward grabbing a rabbit in her jaws. She walked back to camp satisfied with her catch, and when she got back selected a smaller rabbit to eat.
