Night Shadow, was begining to feel a little less shy around the others now, "I guess that it could be worse." she thought.

"Yea." Feather turned around to where Midnight and Fire were.

"I'm just-" Fire started to speak but was quieted by Midnight. "Calm. Down. Nothing is going to happen, see? Everyone else is fine."

Fire growled, annoyed. "All right."

Night Shadow looked around the clearing taking all of the sites and scents.

Feather turned to see Midnight walking up with Fire behind him. Oh, joy. She thought. What if Fire was overly hostile?

"Hello there." Midnight made sure to be polite and welcoming, but Fire not so much. "Its... Nice to meet you." He wrenched the words out of his jaws. Midnight bumped his paw into Fire's to say knock it off!

Night Shadow was not angry or upset with Fire's hostliety, she was only mildly amused with his cautioun, so she dipped her head in respect to Midnight and Fire and said with a small smile "It's nice to meet both of you."

Feather smiled, at Fire and Midnight and walked to the Scout den.

Fire nodded curtly and seemed to calm down a bit, Midnight nodded.

Night Shadow looked at Fire curiously and asked "Are you the leader here?"

Fire shook his head vigorously. "No, Storm and Sun are."

"Oh." Night Shadow said a little surprised "I'm sorry, I thought you were." she said

He nodded curtly, and turned and looked into the forest. What...? Something was out there! "I'll be back." He yipped as he darted out of camp.

Night Shadow watched him leave with curiosity, and wondered what was wrong.

"Don't mind him, he most likely just saw a rabbit... We made a bet this morning about who could catch one first, and he loves to hunt! Storm's thinking about asking him if he wants to become a hunter." Midnight watched after Fire curiously, ad nervously. Where was he going?

Fire slipped through the undergrowth, trying to get a better look at what was in front of him. He growled under his breath as what came into his vision was quite... Shocked he pulled back. A deer? Oh great Dina, I thought it was a rabbit! He thought in a nervous tizzy. He had to get the rest of the pack! He pelted through the forest, towards the camp.

Night Shadow smiled and said "I'm sure he would make a good hunter." then she turned and looked out of the enterance to camp...

Her senses tingling she perked her ears and let her mind wander through all of the forest. "Something's wong." she thought quietly she got up and without saying a waord she walked briskly out of camp.

Midnight barreled down the slope leading to the camp, and soon was indide panting. "Deer...in...the...forest." As he regained his breath he looked up. "In other words, gather the others!" He barked to Midnight. Midnight nodded and rushed quickly over to all the dens. the others bolted out, and Storm flew out of the camp her coat flying in the breeze. As they reached the spot where he had saw the deer, Fire tensed. Would they be able to take it down...?

Night Shadow listened and followed the sound of ripping flesh, "Something very big is out here..." she thought. After walking for a few moments she came upon the large carcase of a male deer, But it wasn't alone.

There was also the carcase of a chicken and the small Mountain Lion was sleeping under a tree nearby.

Quietly she slipped past the carcases and slowly approached the Mountain Lion Cub, The small Mountain Lion's eyes shot open as she stepped on a twig and it let out a sharp cry, Suddenly a fully Grown Mountain Lion mother leapt out of the bushes and threw Night Shadow to the side with one swipe of her large paws.

Night Shadow quickly stood up and before the mother Mountain Lion could attak her again she raced back torwards the camp to warn her new friends.
