Shade perked her ears, noting the strange noise.  "Hello? Anyone there?" she called into the underbrush

Storm slowly padded towards where she had heard the hiss, her neck fur rising. What if its attacking the others? She growled and raced forward. If she needed to defend her pack she would.

The three foxes snarled at the cat as it stalked forward. Its eyes shimmered with anger, and it crouched down, shooting forward and hooking its claws into Sun's fur. He howled in pain as blood began to trickle from the wounds. Fire hooked his teeth into the cat's scruff and pulled it off before begining to fight it.

Sahde stiffened hearing the growls and hisses and took off, following the sound.

Storm raced through the forest dodging obstacles one by one. Finally she reached the clearing and leaped into the fray, snarling and growling as the cat clawed.

Fire was glad to hear Storm come even though they were dealing with the cat fine. It was big, almost bigger then a fox and a tawny color. He'd heard about these... a mountian lion? He snarled as the cat took a swing at his throat.

Sun grabbed the cat's tail, sinking his teeth in as far as he could. The cat screamed in pain and dropped its claws, flipping around to face him.

Midnight was ready and grabbed its foreleg.

Looks:Is a dark gray fox with black ears, paws and tail tip.

Persnality: Shy, but can be brave and authorative when she needs to.

History: Parents were poached for their coats, and she was found by humans and raised until she was 2 years old then she was released back into the forest.

Night Shadow lay under the branches of a small bush and slept unaware of her suroundings.

The cat turned and raced away into the forest and Storm sighed, her breath ragged. She lay down in a patch of grass and caught her breath.

Fire looked at where the cat had disapeared with wide eyes. "Does anyone know what that thing was?"

Night Shadow shot up as a loud rustle from a bush woke her, Then almost out of nowhere a cat jumped out of the bushes and raced past her. "What on earth is a cat doing out here?" she thought then slowly she got up and quietly began to follow the cat's scent trail back to where it had come from.

Storm closed her eyes, catching her breath as fast as she could. She watched the rest of the pack quietly.

Sun panted and answered Fire's question. "It was a young mountain lion. Its a good thing we beat it while it was young, it might not come back."

After eaching the end of the cat's scent trail Night Shadow crouched down inside of a bush and listened to what the other fox's were saying.

Storm regained her breath and stood. "We should return to camp to rest..." 

Sun nodded, and began the trek back to camp, the others on his tail. Storm caught up and began whispering to him. 

"Have we ever had such a problem with the lions?"

Sun shook his head sadly. "No, I have to say this is the worst we've had yet. This is the third one this Summer!"

Storm sighed and looked into the distance. "I hope this is the last we see of them."

Fire caught bits and pieces of their convesation and perked his ears. "Have... such... problem... lions..." As soon as he perked his ears he heard almost all of the conversation.

Midnight bumped into him and glared. "Stop evesdropping!" 

Fire jumped "I wasn't! I thought I... heard a noise."

Midnight glared again. "Yea, them talking" 

Fire growled and glared. "Fine, you caught me. It wasn't anything important or personal, just about the lions!"

Midnight nodded "Alright" and padded away a distance.

Night Shadow watched as they padded away, "Maybe I should introduce myslef." she thought taking a small step out of the bushes, but then her shyness overcame herself and she turned and headed back to the group of thorn bushes where she lived.

As the others padded ahead Fire stopped. He could have sworn he heard pawsteps! He perked his ears.

As Night Shadow woke a few moments later unable to sleep, she padded back to the place where she had first seen the other fox's.
