Rory heard some one shouting over on the stairs to the boys dorm and looked op as she was trying to look up 'Thestrals' in 'Fantastic beasts and where to find them'. (I've forgotten if there really is an entry on thestrals so sorry if that's wrong). It took her a while to realise that Chase was the one shouting to his friend.
How typical of a boy. Rory thought. Hardly an hour back at school then this.
She looked down at her book and flicked the pages.
"T-t-t-t.... Ah!! There it is!!"
the page fell on an illustration of a dragon like horse thing, and a paragraph beside it read,
"Thestrals are usually docile creatures that only eat the meat of goats, and other kinds of livestock. They are said to pull the carriages at Hogwarts, and can only be seen if one has seen death, and if that death has sunk in. Very few people at Hogwarts have seen the Thestrals, but there are the unfortunate handful that may have witnessed a family death."
Rory suddenly felt sorry for Chase, and felt bad all over again for her not so sympathetic approach on it. She stood and walked into her dorm, planning to say sorry the next day.
