Lin flinched at Terra's prospect of the amulet. Trouble? The Sandor family do NOT want trouble! She nervously looked at Caroline's pockets, as if asking for consolation that everything's going to be okay. History of her world had taught of weapons and jewels bewitched with curses and extraordinary power that one cannot control. This amulet could one of them.

Then Terra asked her a question. What do I see? Lin squinted at the North, as if willing something to appear for her to see. The little bandit fell silent for a few seconds glaring at the open desert until she finally took a deep breath..

"Adventure!" she beamed, throwing her hands up. She would have said 'sand', but that would be such a boring answer. "Endless possibilities and treasure hunting!" At the end of her reply, she scratched the back of head with a sheepish smile plastered on her face. "And maybe a way to find home.." she quietly added.

"I've about decided anything made of gold can cause trouble. Doubt it'll be any worse than what the Apple does, though." She said. If it was anything like the pieces of eden it would prove to be incredibly useful when they ran into whatever trouble that might come. Caroline laughed at the girl's response to the odd question. Treasure hunting? Not the usual answer for a kid to give, but then again, nothing about this place or these people were normal or usual. 

"Think we'll find anything out here?" She asked. It was a valid question. Looking to the north she saw nothing but miles and miles of desert. It would be a difficult trek for anyone to make, let alone a group like theirs. Relatively young, knowing nothing about what's out there. She prayed the luck that let her find the oasis would hold. 

I rested there til i felt a prick in the back of my neck. I raised up and reached behind me. I plucked the needle like object out of there. I brought it to my view of vision to realize it was a catus needle. I fell silent before letting out a painful scream, "Dear!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lord!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

After a painful removal, i look to see a group of people walking across the desert i start to head in their direction.

Lin turned to Caroline who was having a laugh at her answer and took glee in it. Her grin widened and her posture more confident as she fondled her bandana a bit with her forefinger. "Oh yeah," she nodded. "Papa said there could be tombs out here or maybe buried treasure!" Lin was starting to mix up deserts and deserted islands now.

Suddenly, there was a loud scream, and a person was starting to approach her group. Lin looked at the distance to see a man heading toward their direction.. He was huge! This guy was like a giant compared to her. Her eyes fell at the sight of his prosthetic arm, which made her all the more uncomfortable.

"Who's that?" she asked.

I smiled at Lin's answer "Good answer." I said, then turning back to Caroline "No, trust me it won't be worth a cent where we're going." I said.

Then hearing the scream, I turned to see the tall figure of a man, I knew the answer to Lin's question, but I was not a "people person" in other words I was pretty shy, and didn't like to just speak my mind, so I remained silent and turned back to looking across the desert.

She looked to see the man. He was taller than any of them, and unlike the other two, he looked like he might know what he was doing. Stepping in front of the other two, she observed him. A glint of metal caught her eye, making her uneasy. With a small click one of her blades slid from under her arm, her fingers instinctively curling around it. Glancing at the other two she wondered if they would even know to run from whatever fight might erupt. She remained silent as she watched him approach, There was no need to say anything, if he was here to cause trouble, he'd cause it no matter what. 

"Hello!?" i call out. I wave my right hand. I apparoach closer to see they were all girls. One of which was holding a knife. I take my rifle from my back as i got closer. When i got point blank. i put it on the ground. "It's ok i'm not going to hurt any one. I'm Issaic Frost. You can call me by Issaic or Frost. Just not my full name."

"Hi, Issaic. Good to know you're friendly." She said, her arm twitching backward, causing the blade to retract. It was good to see someone armed, and who wasn't shooting at her for once. 

"You alone out here?" But then again, she had to cover all of her bases. He might not be planning to hurt them, but whoever, if anyone, was with him might be. 

Lin's heart raced at the sound of clinking metal. Caroline, who had stepped in front, had drawn a blade from her sleeves. A hidden knife! Lin felt excitement prickle around her toes. The bandits of Whitefall were known to get bloodthirsty in the heat of battle, and this passed on to Lin no less. Just before she could join in though, the man threw his weapon on the ground. Lin felt a mixture of relief and disappointment as he and Caroline talked, but she guessed it was best not to roundhouse just yet.

She bravely walked up next to Caroline, looking up at Isaac's face and examined it critically like some sort of judge. "What's wrong with your arm?" she asked out loud.

I didn't even turn around to so much as glance at Frost, I already had known that he wasn't a threat and doubted that he was lying, "It's nice to meet you, Frost." I said. "I'm Terra." turning around to look at him, I examined his weapons and estimated how long it would take him to load one. I had my own way of treating people in differant ways according to their actions, wich may be why I wasn't exactly the most popular when it came to making friends.

I was shocked at the question that was blurted out about my arm. "It's just been me, and I lost my arm in an accident. This is replacement for it. It's also nice to meet all of you. Per any chance do any of you know where we are?" I ask reaching down to retrieve my gun. There's needles still sticking out where i had laid against the cacti.

"Sorry to say it, but I'm not sure anyone knows where we are." She replied. Would they ever find anyone who did? "We're just headed north in hopes that we can find something that way. I do have to say, It's good to have someone else in the group who's armed in case we run into trouble." Supposedly it was more of a when than an if, but she didn't want to bring that subject up again. She already knew that the first time something did happen she'd be heaped with 'I told you so's.

Lin thought over Isaac's answer, still standing straight as she sized this new ally up. Just like how Papa would do towards new recruitments, Lin would practice doing so too.. So far, all she can get was that he'd be probably good at long-ranged attacks and that he could be useful as a tank with those big build of his.

Satisfied from what info she accumulated, she skipped back to Terra who was still looking towards the direction they'll be going to. "Will we find shelter there?" she asked her, looking at the same horizon of sand dunes and heatwaves.

I turned and smiled at Lin, "I'm sure." I said calmly, then turning to look at Frosts arm, I said with only a small amount of laughter in my voice "You leaned up against a cacti didn't you."

I look up to Terra, "yeah how did you know?" I placed the rifle back into its position. I stood there looking at her waiting for an answer.
