Does going through a green portal cost another island from the portal memory? You're going through to a higher leveled island(so, a different one), but you're not going through your own portal, so would it be taking memory away from the green portal? But wouldn't that imply that island levels can only get to a certain level maximum?

It's a lot of questions...

As long as there's a green portal on your island, you can go higher. I've gotten as high as level twelve before, and then my poor unicorn just couldn't win against the guardians anyway.

What do you mean by taking memory away? I don't think it takes energy points to go through a green portal, if I remember correctly, just a portal energy cell.

The portal memory. You know, the 20 islands you get per day? Every time you go through, it uses up am island, a.k.a. portal memory?

Basically, does it take an island.

No. Once you're on the island, you lose neither islands in the portal memory nor energy for going to deeper levels. (You can, of course, still lose energy by losing battles.)

Good! But about my other question...doesn't that mean we'd be taking energy from the green portal? It has to come from somewhere! So doesn't that mean there's a limit to the island levels?

There is no memory limit associated with the green portal. You can keep going up the levels until your pet is unable to beat the portal guardian, or until a higher level doesn't exist, I guess. I mean, the levels probably stop somewhere, but you'll run out long before they do. The catch is, you need a portal energy cell for every portal you want to pass through.
