I have found that my narrow breeding interests here on BK have led to me being out of the loop for a lot of the quests.
This kinda had me wondering, if I were to get pets for quests, how would I best go about this?
So, I'd much like to get some data on quests together, and try and see if there is an "ideal" team to keep around for this.
In other words, my goal would be to cover as many quests as possible, with as few pets as possible.

Are there any opinions about this out there already? If so, I'd love to hear about yours. If not, let's put a list together and get the ball rolling? (:

All of the pets I keep exclusively for quests I found in the pound or bought inexpensively from another player. I don't know that there's really an ideal team, but an Acid Strike cockatrice, Fire Strike dragon, and Lightning Strike roc are three good things to have, seeing as their quests tend to pay quite a bit. 

One thing I routinely do if there's a quest asking for a specific color combination of pet (breed?) is refresh the pound until I find one, use it for the quest, then toss it back in the pound after the seven days are up. 

To be able to find LOTS of quests listed there is a quest pet borrow thread someplace. People will say the pets they need there and it would be easy to find a pattern.

I suggest GP 1, 2, and 3 female reptile, bird, and mammal. So like a dragon roc, and unicorn. This will cover a lot of the quests since many ask for hero pets and pets with high characteristics.

I am also being asked for a gryphon with second breath often.

I would recommend to:

A. Check this page -- It's the Quest borrowing page, it lists quite the lot of quests.

B. From what I can tell, the maximum value they're looking for, stat wise, is 100, so you should have your quest pets there for most, if not all, your pets. (GP3 being the best)

C. Try to get as much genes into one pet as possible

Example. Cockatrices usually need: Acid Strike (Acid Gland + Spitting Muscle), Petrifying Gaze, Bet Expert, and a Poison (Poisonous Teeth, Poisonous Claw, and Venomous Skin), also they'll rarely ask for Regeneration. As for coloring it's either Gold or Piebald, so you'd want at least 2 Cockatrices. If not 3, in case they ask for the degenerations & bad genes. -- Also there are times when they ask for a specific gender, so you may end up doubling up, just in case.

I recommend using those to start. We have added species since those, but the original quests have not changed to my knowledge.
