I like the old design but I love the new one. They actually look life-like :)

I'm bad with change. If something changes my automatic reaction is nooooo. But I will get used to it. And then probably see the flaws in the old design too >.>

These ones seem more fierce, but aren't depicted as fierce as the other (if that made any sense at all). I think it has to do with the lighting and shading style. I am in love with the new gryphons though!! Such an improvement. 

Also people: You can still make custom skins with the old base ^^

i don't know. it looks kinda fake. i mean ya it's a drawing but make it a little real?

There really is no way to make it look real, gryphons don't exist so we don't have a definitive realisitc appearance for them.

I'm sorry, but I prefer the old versions. I like the heavy shadowing. the new versions colours look kind of bleak in direct comparisson. the beak in the old version looks more like that of a bird of prey and the eyes look more serious. I do however like the changes to the wings and the tailfeathers. also, the patterns have improved :-)

Would it be possible to make people actually choose, which of the two versions of gryphons they would like to see? like game settings or something? I don't know how hard it would be to program something like that, but I think it would be a shame, if the old artwork just dissappeared.

This new base is so beautiful, I like the gryphon more now. Heh heh, the butt-feathers. The colorations are great, I may need to start a genetics breeding project with these guys now instead of just stashing for future deviants.

I love the new design! I think they look more real.....well, as "real" as you can make a mythological creature anyway! xD

I love how the colours/patterns have changed too. The gryphon's seem to stand out now against their updated fellow beasts.

Now all we need are deviants! Those I can't WAIT to see!!!!

You know, whenever a base of a creature is changes, Deviants come shortly after. I've noticed that. Or when the Breeders take a week off for the Exhibition for a week or so, they are probably working on Deviants. Just a thought. 

Why are they changing the older looks?

I personally liked the old version better. But since they are mythological creatures, we all have a different view about them. I liked the bolder colors and sharpness of the old look. I guess the new look isn't THAT bad.
