Hi, today I was looking through the pet trades for female lykos and checked off female and lykos in the advanced search as you can see in this photo. http://m.imgur.com/Qr8k0Wq

Then, I scrolled down near the bottom and found this tan lykos. http://m.imgur.com/iACfNmm

I wanted to check if there were any other tan lykos females so I checked of female, lykos and, (in the genes section) Tan. However, the tan female lykos from before did not show up http://m.imgur.com/ERmMnWz

That female had a 1k buyout price, so someone probably bought her.

When you select certain genes it only comes up with pets who have that gene researched/uncovered. That is why I stopped using that when looking for colors because many pets are not researched.
