Some of my newest offspring of symurghs are looking a little weak compared to their siblings. So far they have been around 99-108 attack at lvl 1 (including hit, bite, rush, and blow) and 442-482 total (including all characteristics and attack). These two though, one has good attack at 107 but really bad overall at 407. The other has a bad attack at 93 but good total of 461. I cant mash them into one creature to level it out, so which one would do better in battles? Are the stats or the attack more important? I know I can increase the first one's stats so I will probably do that, I am just wanting to know if attack or stats are more important to have in battle.

It depends.

Your stats are compared to the stats of the pet you're fighting, and then depending on how that turns out... it multiplies/decreases the Attack Power. So the distribution of stats is also important. A bunch of stats in the Int/Constitution (Quickmind Steelbones) isn't going to affect your damage at all (Strength+Courage), but will inflate that total stat number a lot.

Base attack can't be increased like stats can, so I usually choose the genes which increase it - A pet always starts level 1 with 15-20 in each bite/blow/rush, and gets 2 points in all for each level. Generally though... increasing bite/blow/rush damage from genetics will give you damage that is more dependable than just stats. Best to have both attack+ along with stats though.

From what I see, genetics are most important. Regeneration is a big one that will win your fights for you. GP0 pets with good genes will beat normal-gened GP3 pets and pets that are higher level than them a good portion of the time.

PS - It also looks like you're lumping all the bite/blow/rush numbers together with the hitpoints, which makes that info a bit less useful - Its best to mainly use the attack that gets bonuses from genetics, so that one attack # will matter more than everything else. Hitpoints varies from 44-56 at level 1 (Gets 5 pts per level), isn't as important as base damage, and is going to make your 'attack' calculation vary a lot.
