"Oh.  I just thought that I would give your species the advantage, and make you feel more at home..." she said.  "Sounds very fortified."

"Being the same design from those made on the moon, it's much sturdier here than there. With the better materials, it's even more so," he said, "I don't think you'll have much trouble getting in, but it might take some time."

Being fallowed by the keepers, Mayumi made her way over to Goldescale. "Goldenscale, while I don't see any of these humans as a threat, my trust will be still have to be earned. That will come in time if they hold to the values they presented to me," she said, removing the helmet when she reached the two, "I just have one question. What is it you see in them?"

Goldenscale only had time to reply with a nod before Mayumi came into the area with the Keepers.  "I see in them brave magicians willing to sacrifice themselves and take up several responsibilities to care for and work with their companions.  I feel that they have pure intentions and that they mean no one harm unless used as a last resort.  Each has their strengths and weaknesses, but they all protect each other and use them o their advantages to help those in need." she stated, looking at Mayumi.  "This is what I see in them."

"I see, then I will keep an eye on them. I will see whith my own eyes how they uphold your word. I wish them luck in holding such high views," Mayumi said with a nod, "Time will only tell how their values hold and how they react. Their youngest member will be under a strict survalence while he learns. One bad fruit can cause the worst illness, as my mother used to say."

"Not in all cases.  But in many, yes.  I will respect your decision.  You have lost much by the hands of humans and necromancers, and I will not make you think diferenly of your choices and felings." she said with a nod.

"Anyways, I suppose it's time for you and them to returne to the town. I'm sure their people are waiting for them to lead them back," Mayumi said, "I will be heading home now. I asked Willow to watch the hatchlings while I was gone. I feel it is time I should returne to them."

"Well, wee do need to get everyone back together so we can head back," Kial said, taking out a small whistle and blowing it, "The throdama will be making their way back on their own since they have their own reasons to be here."

"Well then, I guess it's goodbye then mother." she said as she hugged her.  Though she was afraid of leaving the forest, she had to go on the journey.

"It'll only be goodbye when my time in this world is gone. I wish the best of luck to you on your journey. I believe you will succede," Mayumi said, returning the gesture, "I'll be waiting for you." releasing Goldencale, she put the helmet back on before turning to leave, giving each keeper a glance as she passed them.

"I'll meet you all at the edge of the forest with everyone else. I just want to check on one thing before we leave," Miru said, turning to walk towards the tree Goldenscale had been in.

Goldenscale gave a sigh before walking in the direction of the barrier.  "Alright." she replied to Miru.

"So, what do you think of the throdama so far," Kial asked, catching up with Goldenscale, "They're quite bizzar compared to most creatures you'll run into aren't they?"

"Yes, they are.  Quite extraordinary, beings." she said with a smile.  "I hope to find more of them and find other friends within diferent species." 

"It's a venture to make friends across multiple species. You might want to talk with some of the symurgh when we get back. They're from a wold call Io. Not much is know about their home world since they tend to not speak much about it. We figure it is their own business what Io is like so we don't question them about it," Kial said, patting the back of the throdama at his side, "Eiral would be glad to see you. He's probably out helping one of the farms re-establish fertility in the soil. Sometimes a farm will have a bad season and the natural abilities of a symurgh seem to revitalize the soil."

"Oh, I didn't know that Symurgh could do that.  I did meet one once, though I can't remember his name... but they are amazing creatures." she said with a smile.  "But since you said that over time a farm will loose nutrients in the soil, isn't that possible for forests as well?" 

"Forests are much less prone to that, but it is a possibility. Farms loose nutrients in the soild because of how often the crops are replanted and the repetetive tilling of the soil. If the plants of the forest uprooted every season and the ground loosened to facilitate this, it would run in to the same problem," Kial said, "Symurgh seem to emit a pheramone that increases fertility in land. From what we've observed, they typically produce twice as much ofspring than most creatures do at a time so the pheramone is probably an anti starvation adaptation."

Goldenscale listened intently.  "Wow, that's amazing.  I understand now how a land can loose its fertility, but I didn't know that about Symurgh.  Well, I just learned something new now." she said happily.  Once they got to the barrier, she stopped.  She wassn't sure if she would be able to leave the forest again.  All the familiar voices, her garden, her friends and family.  Outside, there was an unknown world farther away from the village.  And there were dangers out there too that she didn't know.  "I think I'll wait here until the others get here..." she said.
